Hello, I watched your whole video, and to see that your baby boy made it was amazing, I cried I smiled and I laughed. My daughter passed away july 27th 2009. She was 6 months and 27 days, her heart and liver went to two infant girls who made it because of her. I now see the world in a different way.
WOW this is an angel from God and im so glad that you were willing to share with the world what life was like for your baby. my baby is due in november and also was diagnosed with DILV and my soon to be 4 yr old has Chiari malformation and Tethered spinal cord. So my husband and i have a battle ahead of us with a 4 yr old who will have spinal surgery and possible brain surgery and a newborn with DILV we really appreciate your courage to post this Thank you so much
oh my gosh, I totally started crying, believe it or not, my daughter is now 6 months old and is diagnosed DILV also, she had the PA band on at 6 days and is actually still in ICU at the U of M. She has been in ICU for12 days now, not for her heart but for a partially collapsed lung that won't open. I believe these children were brought into this world to be fighters, Cody reminds me of my Cassidy, happy and learning everyday.. I hope all goes well for Cody in his next surgery!
i had a hard time not crying.your a very strong mom, i never saw you cry in any picture.this shows me how to appreciate what i have.my son zachary was diagnosed with right heart hypoplastic but it was always mild and in time it even'd out from the other side.your a very strong women.god blees you nd your family =].

Gina, found your video via MLH of Charlottesville. Absolutely beautiful! My Nathan is DORV and I am a co-coordinator for the new Winchester chapter of MLH. Thanks for sharing the journey. KardioCisses-Beth
What an amazing video and story! My son Jackson was also born with DILV and diagnosed 12 hours after he was born! I wish we had documented his journey like you have done for Cody. This really took me back! Jackson will be 1yr old on 10/9/09. He's had a coarctation repair, PA band, Glenn and Atrial septectomy. What a precious boy Cody is! I hope he is doing well!
Gina you & Cody are so amazing! I thank God for his blessings along your journey! I love you and will continue to pray for you along with the rest of your Mary Kay family!
Gina, That was so beautiful. I am so happy that Cody has remained strong throughout this long journey. You and your family are so blessed. ~Akesha Hill
