The main benefit of the waste tank is that the waste pad never gets touched by ink (you can see it under the print head when the head moves to the left). When you get the end of life warning for the waste pad, you can go to epson's website and get a waste pad reset utility to reset the waste pad counter. Works perfect and keeps the printer ticking and no excess ink ever touches the waste pad.

lol did you actually try to reuse the ink? They become gooy and certainly will clog your print head.

I have reused the ink before I filter it twice before I put it back in the black tank but with ink for the ciss being so cheap I may not go through the trouble any longer thanks for pointing out that the fact it may contaminate your reservoir hate for anyone to ruin a print head due to my video.

U shouldnt recycle the waste ink, it contains particules that contamines your reservatoir's ink

I have been thinking about doing this but was afraid it would be too difficult. Now that you showed how easy it is I am going to try it. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for posting!
