  • Congratulations SENATOR Franken!

  • I really really like al franken

  • Vote Franken, Vote Obama!

  • Glad to be able to vote for this dude...

    This state needs some crazy!!

  • Al Franken will not win. He is a piece of garbage.

  • Minnesota is lucky to have Franken running! Wish I could vote for him.

  • Imagine how painful it is to live in Minnesota and not be able to vote for him! I'm 17 but I miss the election by 2 1/2 months!

    Obama/Biden '08

    Franken '08

  • i met him. it was awesome!

  • Good luck, Al, we're pulling for you.

  • Hilarious guy! I hope he wins.

  • Vote for Al franken

  • I'm one person who's voting for this man on November 4th! And I know tons of people who are as well! =) We're gonna do our best!

  • Outstanding!! input on what it's like for solders in Theater of war. Thanks Al you're a great American and I hope you win your election to the Senate

  • Already the Right is trying to spin the blame for the Finance Crisis on loans to the poor.

The majority of bad loans were to middle class borrowers for INVESTMENT PROPERTY.

Don't be taken in by the spinmeisters - this is a mammoth failure of Free Market Fundamentalism.

    GO FRANKEN!

  • what is the rest of the subprimehonkies int the rest of the world that fell over it?

    them poor,?

  • He is not a lawyer, idiot. He graduated from Harvard with a Bachelor of ARTS degree.

  • Stuart Smalley for Senate!

  • Great, Minnesota, you can have him. Another Marxist not-funny lawyer who wants to be a politician and swears that he has the answer, everyone before him did it wrong and this time socialism will succeed.

    Yeah whatever

  • Good point. Because everything you disagree with is socialism.

  • "The Dakotas blow and Wisconsin sucks!!"

    HAHAAHAHA so true

  • all of franken's vids are rated 5 stars and coleman's are 3 or less

  • McCain / Palin '08

  • McCain Failin' '08

  • McCain/Palin 08

  • Al Franken reallllly pushes my buttons. I am from Minnesota and I've lived here my whole life. He moved away and hasn't lived here in many years. Then he moves back VERY recently and acts like he knows eeeevverything about Minnesota. HA!

  • hes better then whatever douche you'd vote for!

  • al franken is funny and intelligent,

  • Al, you're awesome... You have my vote, no doubt about it...

  • uh, newsflash, Minnesota will vote for anyone,

you don't have to be a serious candidate,

evidently VERY slim pickens in that state

  • Stuart Smalley 2008!

  • it makes me laugh when people call universal health care the "first step towards socialism" yet they don't care that we've lost tons of civil liberties (the real first step) and that the national government already regulates pretty much everything in our lives...

from the TV airwaves to road stripes...

but universal health care is the "first step?"

    lame.

  • You would have to be pretty stupid to not realise he was joking ... it's Letterman, it's a comedy show, doh. Rep's seem to lie all the time these days, like HC ha ha and CNN!!!!

  • You would have to be pretty stupid to not realise he was joking ... it's Letterman, it's a comedy show, doh. Rep's seem to lie all the time these days, like HC ha ha.

  • Franken is a joke candidate like Kinky Friedmann, Ralph Nader, and Jesse Ventura. He's not a serious candidate.

  • I wish I could agree. Unfortunately, unlike decent joke candidates such as Friedmann, Franken takes himself seriously and actually believes the liberal crap he spews. I urge all Minnesotans to vote for his Republican opponent (and indeed all Americans to vote Republican across the board in '08).

  • Some of the best world leaders were extremely good satirist. Jeez, fallacies and more fallacies! With politics, I just seem to discover more and more of them!

  • True, but the scary point is he might win with the clueless electorate in this country. Remember, in liberal(in my sense, referring back to "clueless")Minnesota, they(not me) elected Jesse Ventura. And yes, we have suffered, and suffer still from his few years in office.

  • What about Arnold?

  • Minnesota is the only state that would elect someone like Franken. They elected Ventura in 98, so there's good reason to believe they'll make a similar mistake in 08.

  • as ashamed as i am about ventura, it's not like franken is some unqualified chud

  • Franken (Unlike Friedman, Nader or Ventura) graduated from Harvard Law.

  • Get the insurance companies out of health care and we'd all be better off!

  • Hear Hear! You said it man!

  • Altough I personally despise insurance companies, that was one of the most dumb comments I've ever read.

  • I'm sorry, health care in the US is not run by those who care for patients, it is run by administrators, HMO's, and insurance companies. We need to get them under control so that doctors can do their jobs.

  • If I lived in Minnesota I would vote for Franken. I think he's a great guy with great ideas, I just find the USO tour with the burkha thing a little tacky. He's smarter than that, kinda insensitive.

  • It was about time he ran for office. Go Al!

  • Liar Liar- USA has great health care- i had broken my ankle in Florida business holiday and went to hospital. It was so clean and people friendly and i got fixed up. My company paid for it but treated well

  • Guess you werent in West Palm Beach.

  • i here that, i live in west palm too.

  • He didn't lie about health care, he just stated true figures from WHO.

  • Were you born in 2002? "My mom beats all the kids in teh neighborhood, but she was good to me, thus she is good. The neihgborhood are liars." Smartbrains. Think of the nation as a whole.

  • The issue isn't necessarily the quality of our healthcare, it's the availability. The system works out fine for those who have access to insurance/affordable healthcare, but a very large portion of the population can't afford it. In that regard, our system needs some serious reform.

  • man, al frankin is just an overall good person. not many of them in office. I'd vote for him!

  • Al Franken rules!!!!!

  • judging by the polls and the way he comes across here, he'll probably be elected in the fall. he's sincere and funny, plus he has good name recognition and fund-raising. One less republican to tow the party line

  • wow the level of sincerity Al Franken has tells me,if i had the chance to vote,i'd vote for him

  • Although satire is usually meant to be funny, the purpose of satire is not primarily humor in itself so much as an often quite angry attack on something the author strongly disapproves.

Oh, yes... 'have to' bring universal health care!

WHO... there's a standard review for 'universal health care'... just like any other UN review agency.

  • I'm gonna have to second that one, the book is awesome.

  • It's funny.

But look how pathetic it is for o'reilly, CVoulter, Frankin and othrs to write books to exclude each other.

  • If Letterman is a clown, in which I highly agree (more like liberal idiot), then this dude will be king bozo if elected.

  • Al Franken got into Harvard as an undergrad - that's the most selective school in America.

Lettermen has been a success for decades, and makes millions upon millions entertaining.

Just a bunch of idiots, huh?

  • Jay Leno may be not a clown, but he's a gopod man and respect others, not like Clown Letterman.

  • lies and the lying liars who tell them is one of the funniest books i've ever read

  • if you liked that you should also read Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot

  • Conservatives around the world love to listen to the uplifting and positive message Rush delivers about entrepreneurship and hard work while exposing the fallacies, idiocy, and foul nature of liberalism. Listen to Rush Limbaugh on the Internet at rush limbaugh dot com. You can thank me later! Way to go, Rush! America loves you!

  • Is he the one who was a college dropout, a draft dodger (with anal fissures, or something), a drug addiction, who is way overweight, and has three divorces?

    Is that Rush?

How is he a success? He makes millions.

Thats all that really matters to him, doesnt it?

He couldnt care less about you.

  • I'm grateful to our troops.

I want them home safe now.

    Not later... but now.

  • Rush needs an oxy to watch this...

  • he is so gonna win. stuart smaley is funny

  • how'd u get a 15 min clip posted. cheater. just kidding, tell me how

  • Dude it's 38.

  • VOTE FOR AL! He's perfect

  • Al is a funny guy and I respect his work. Ummmm I did cringe a bit watching the "tear-away burqas" skit. I realize the troops need to keep their morale up and I understand the spirit behind it.

Right or wrong, troops are in Iraq, it is a tough situation... every move that is made there needs to be made in consideration to not offend the culture of the people there.

  • what is this, a pep rally? this guy is putting out buzz words and catch phrases like there's no tomorrow

  • VOTE RON PAUL!

  • No!

  • HELL NO!

  • I just donated! Norm Coleman has been a huge disappointment.

  • great man al franken we are all bless to have you !!!bells))) are ringing11000)))000)))

  • Go Al!! I just donated and I live in California. He is up against a powerful machine and the only one worthy of the great Wellstone seat.

  • I would love to donate to! However, I got medical bills.

  • You can always donate your time, put a sign on your lawn, make some phone calls, if you can't send money. With guys like Bush ruining the country and leaving bills for your great grandchildren to pay, how can you afford NOT to help elect men of character like Al?

  • Funny, savagely intelligent, and decent to the core. That's Al! I'm gonna give him some more money, and I don't even live in Minnesota.

Eat your black hearts out, cons.

  • He's clean and articulate, but I don't think he's black enough.

  • Absolutely brilliant. Read his book about lying liars.

  • was that a autobiography?

  • Al hugged my dog. Coleman made my 18 year-old hostess cry. You be the judge.

  • Hope al wins, and puts some decent men in the U.S. senate

  • NATIONAL IMPEACHMENT DAY is this TUESDAY AUGUST 21st!!

Spread the word and search "v2impeach" on YOUTUBE now!

  • GO AL in 08!!!!!!

  • Al's right about all EXCEPT Wisconsin doesn't suck. Minnasota is windy because it is sucking all the wind from the dakotas, wisconsin, iowa, and manitoba. WI can drink MN under the table, easy.

  • wanna prove that, we'll meet on the border wiht massive amounts of vodka and drink until someone passes out, If you win, ill make lutefisk, if i win, you give me packers tickets

  • Al for Minnesota!

I hope that he gets elected, and does politics some justice, because I am disgusted with all of them right now, and I hope that he becomes a great leader for MN.

  • Go Al Go! I am not even in your state, but by God I hope you win. I want 500 more Congressmen like you.

  • I <3 Al.

  • I donated $25 two days ago. I will donate more later.

  • Al for senate!

  • Haha executing rove haha.

  • Aww man, whats Al Franken without Bill O'Reilly shouting over him and insulting him every 7 seconds???

  • oh the agony....

  • I wasn't aware that Karl Rove was convicted for outing Valerie Plame. I thought that had died when Richard Armitage admitted to it.

  • I heard he's way behind in the polls.

  • hey! i'm From Minnesota! wow, i'm special!

  • (joriet2) is a Ultra left wing liberal/socialist who (on his own Youtube page) deletes any comments that differ from his own. He is typical of modern day liberals who want to use censorship as a means of furthering the liberal agenda.

  • People really have to watch words, liberated them???

  • Franken for senate!

  • I love his jokes, but al's lefty politics are losers.

A guy this smart should know something besides liberal platitudes.

  • hahahahahahahah

  • Al Franken for President!!!He makes so much sense......Now compare him with Bush........

  • Al's not only funny but he's also extremely intelligent. His campaign is a grass roots one that depends on smal contributions from average people.

His opponents (Norm Coleman) is funded by big moey special interest groups (PACS like big oil & pharmaceutical industry. You don't have to live in Minnesota contribute; so please Google Al's name & it will take you to his site. Even $2-5 will help!! Don't be complacent, give $2. now to help elect Al.

  • George Soros has contributed heavily to Frankin's election campaign in an effort to buy a seat in the U.S. Senate. Frankin owes his soul to George Soros and Al Frankin will only be a puppet of George Soros. We, the people of Minnesota, will not elect Al Frankin and his master George Soros into office in this state!

  • Al is not only not funny he's also very unintelligent...that's why his talk radio show failed miserably...no one wants an anti-American.

  • I agree... we need Batman!!

no really.. lets see you goto Harvard and lead a successful campaign. Anti-American?? I hate that rhetoric.. Anyone who accuses someone of being anti-american needs to pick up an American history text book.

  • Absolutely right. To get outside the 'bubble', I recommend "A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn.

  • Norm's nose was/is inserted up Bush's rectum so far that if Bush made the sudden turn to the right the nose was history.

  • Great video clip. Al's candidacy is a good thing for our country. Please help him get elected. He's not beholden to BIG money special interests like Norm Coleman IS!!! Go to Al's website & help in any way you can.

  • thanks for the upload.. Al is a great voice

  • Too bad i dont vote, but Franken is worthy of an american concept of democratic representation.

  • i love this man

  • ***** FAVORITED!

  • If I hear one more republican bitch about his political pedigree i will vomit. He is a billion times smarter than Schwarzenegger.

  • HAHA, Seriously, the Minnesota windy joke? Wow.

  • Al. I expect you to bring back Wellstonian politics. If so, you'll get my vote.

    -Qes

  • Wellstone was an ineffective, socialist who never did a thing for the state of Minnesota. He was a joke! All liberals are a joke for that matter. Socialists should go out and get a job rather then taxing the working man and woman to pay their way.

  • I want to move to Minnesota just to vote for him! Go Al!

  • What a blowhard

  • Al Franken is just fantastic

  • I'd vote for him in a heartbeat, just because he understands the meaning of the word "ethics".

The fact that he's smart and has good policies helps too.

  • i like him. interesting and funny

  • I'd vote for Al, but I live in Indiana :(

  • the dakotas do blow

  • Great interview. I will miss Al from his radio show on Air America but I know he will be a great Senator. Anyone who thinks he's a crazy liberal that will destroy America only needs to listen to him talk for five minutes.

"Republicans say government doesn't work and they get elected and they prove it." Great line.

  • Al has my vote in 2008.

  • Go kick some ass, Al!

  • get this man into your government and get bush, clinton and mccain OUT.

  • All heart, that Al Franken. I wonder how many times Limbaugh or O'Reilly have visited the troops. Keep it up, brother... we need you to stick around.

  • Al makes me want to move to Minnesota so I can vote for him.

  • Senate hell...Franken for President!

  • Class Act.

  • Al Franken will make a good senator - I have no doubt he'll win the nomination and defeat Coleman.

  • Something is wrong with the vid...it won't play. Would love to see it.

  • Thanks for posting this. I missed it. Go Al!

  • His delivery reminds me of Jack Benny.

  • We are so lucky to have Al Franken running for the Senate with his humor, intellegence, education and humanity.

  • Go Al!!!

  • It's too bad I am Canadian, or I'd be offering you a lot more than moral support. Get 'em Al!

  • GO AL! I Can't wait to see that worm Norm Coleman running for the hills when you're done with him. Keep fighting the good fight, we're behind ya man. We're still a democracy, even after Rove.

  • Al is the best! He's going to win and help the Senate get back on track!

  • Franken says we can't have single-payer healthcare because the people don't trust the government. Don't people trust the government to send them their social security checks, don't people trust the government enough to continue to pay their taxes. Mr. Franken needs to find the courage to stand up to the insurance companies and end their greedy feeding off of the health of Americans.
