I have now completed watching all your videos and feel more enlightened about the storage auction business and buying and reselling in general. I really appreciate your passion and efforts and wisdom you impart in these videos. I have decided that my goal is to my a full time income in this business (storage auctions, flea markets, garage sales, craigslist, ebay, etc) and I am in the first steps of my thousand mile journey. Got alot to learn and you have helped. thanks again.
I don't know how this would impact your overhead but we purchased a 15 by 20 amish house and did it on payments through them to right off on taxes. We still have an ebay room in the house and big items in garage but we set up shelves and tables in the house. We have 15 acres of property so obviously not for everyone. In the alternative before we purchased the little house we rented a storage room. Just some thoughts for those out there who think they may not have room. Happy hunting!
You know, my partner and I have been doing this about a year now. It is very hard work, but it is amazing the things you end up keeping for yourself, both big and small. Small items, like quality kitchen utensils, the occasional clothing that I keep, unopened things like laundry soap or cleaning supplies, etc etc add to the fun and profit since you offset what you would have bought anyway. We are pretty disciplined about selling what we don't need, so this extra is like a perk. :) Good room!
@shadowfaxx1 Yes - lots of hard work that is for damn sure. Also a ton of fun so very well worth it. I do keep lots of stuff for myself. That shirt I'm wearing in this video? Came from a bin! LOL! I do try to sell most everything I find...most everything :)
Another great video! Do you think you would ever open up a thrift store to liquidate all of the items you get, or do you do flea markets? Looks like you need a storage facility! Great finds! :-) ~ Ann
@annabellasgiftshop Hi Ann - currently I liquidate 99% on eBay and Craigslist. A thrift store you ask? Hmmm - stay tuned, I may be sharing some interesting news soon about that :)
Not a terribly expensive TV but I would have kept it to use myself. Since building up my stereo system my tv looks absolutely tiny. BTW I personally never meant to attack you in your last video about selling your book. If you are putting out information that can help and improve someones life you deserve to get paid and the price of a book is nothing compare to what an idea is worth.
good luck on the processing buddy..... it can always be stressful unloading that much stuff, but the feeling you get knowing the profit level you potentially may reach keeps you going.... good luck!
