@jcarmelo617 Yea, do as I did in the video. I have a few links inside the info box, below the video. You can also search at a nearby Shoe Repair store.
@dontmesswithme201 Yes you can, but get yourself a shoe brush, as it covers more area and is made specifically for shoes. You can find it cheap at your local discount store.
@23isrob Yes. Since the suede is very bright, you might see a slight bleeding effect when you wipe down the suede. This is common with Lincoln EZ Cleaner. Just don't scrub the suede too much.
@Spacelye Well, the Lincoln EZ Cleaner product I use in this video works well on all uppers! As for the sole, good old soap and water will do! Make sure to pick out all the rocks and dirt that gets stuck in the small openings with a toothpick or something that can get into those small spots. Good luck and come back if you need any more help.
@danghesthatreal Just follow the video! You can buy the Lincoln EZ Cleaner product that I use in the video. Good luck and return if you need further assistance!
@23isrob Maybe the Lincoln EZ Cleaner can help rejuvenate the suede. If not, you can you a Suede Renew spray. Its a suede dye. It might darken the suede up a bit more than what you are looking for, but it makes a difference.
@smoothairyeezys yes, you can just use a shoe brush and brush the area in circular motion. If that doesn't help, you can use the Lincoln EZ Cleaner product as it helps soften suede. Another suggestion is baby oil, but it will darken the suede if the suede is a bright color.
@flare146 As weird as this might sound, water can cause stains to appear. This is due to the minerals it contains. Avoid water use and use this product... And trust me, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!! ;D Good luck.
@flare146 There are links to the product in the info box below the video. You can also Google the product OR look in Shoe Repair stores or Shoe Care isles at department stores.
@TheCardboardGuy I've seen decreasing being performed on suede. All I have to say is: 1. keep it moist during the procedure with water/don't let the suede get dry while you decrease and 2. don't apply iron for too long. BUT, do this at your own risk! You are responsible for what you do to your kicks.
@edwazhereman If suede gets nappy, try getting a Shoe brush and brushing the area in either circular motion or cross-motion. If the suede is a bit stiff, try cleaning it with a suede cleaner. The best cleaners out there are Jason Marxx and Lincoln EZ Cleaner. Either will do, but Lincoln EZ Cleaner is half the price!! Then apply the solution to the area and brush softly with an old toothbrush. Wipeoff the excess with a cloth and brush the area with the shoe brush. Good luck!
will this help soften suede that had been water damaged? the suede on my flint 7s is hard and dirty from water, will this soften it back up as well as clean it?
@drzflyest4 It can help soften the suede, but water damage usually causes a balding effect on the suede. Just don't use any water and wipe off the excess with a dry cloth/towel. Then use a shoe brush and brush the suede in circular motion... this can help with any naps that happen to the suede.
sup man im having some trouble cleaning my wolf grey 5s , i tried cleaning it with a suede cleaner but when i left it to dry some parts of the shoe darkened please help me and i would appreciate it if you told me were i can get my hands on some of that lincoln ez suede cleaner thanks bro peace.
@edwazhereman i have that same problem, i used a (foam) suede cleaner and it went really dark! then i got the suede and nubuck kit . used the eraser and the brush but it only made it worse! they totally took the texture and nap out of the suede! they werent even a wolf grey color anymore! they were like white! im afraid if i use baby oil they will be way to dark, same with the lincoln. if u have any suggestions @MrDarkstar0109 help us
@TK4381 Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I've only used the can Suede Cleaner once... about 8 yrs ago on some black suede boots, so I don't know much about it darkening suede, BUT, I have seen suede become stiff as a result of using these canned cleaners. I'm going to suggest you try the Lincoln EZ Cleaner and see if that helps restore some luster in your shoes. As for the texture, use a shoe brush and brush the suede back and forth slowly. Also, read the comment i left for the other user.
@edwazhereman Seems like the cleaner stained the suede. There are links to Lincoln EZ Cleaner in the info box below my video. Clean the stained area of the shoe with the EZ cleaner. Make sure you DON'T use any water in the cleaning process, as it can cause a balding effect. After applying the EZ cleaner, wipe off the excess with a cloth (preferably clean one!). If the EZ cleaner doesn't help, you might have to use a stain remover. Good luck and if you need further assistance, inbox me!
First, try brushing the suede in different directions. This show help release some nap in the suede. The Suede Dye will harden the texture a bit, so it is suggested that you brush the shoe after applying the dye and letting it dry. If this doesnt help, then the Baby Oil method will work at making the suede a bit softer. USE REGULAR BABY OIL, NOT THE GEL TYPE!!
@MrDarkstar0109 Hey, thanks for your reply, (no problem on the late reply) but... I just used gel shoe cleaner and cleaned my shoes but... It kinda made the suede texture a little hard. Should I still buy the blue suede dye and refiner?
@MusicJude7 Use the Lincoln EZ Cleaner product seen in my video. Jean stains are very difficult to remove, but this will help considerably! Good luck!
@Noob9801 if you scrub too hard, you can get excess fading. Scrub lightly and you will be good to go. BTW, all suede cleaners will "lift up" some color.
@BeRmEnT42 Never has that happened to me. Cold water doesn't help remove dirt as easily. PLUS, hot water can't cause the glue to melt unless if you are utilizing boiling water, WHICH IS DANGEROUS AND I DON'T CONDONE!! Maybe your shoes were just too old and fragile.
@kidwitstacks i only suggest babyoil if you want to moisturize or keep the suede "buttery". If you want to clean them, use a suede cleaner like the porduct I am using in the video. There is a link to some products in the info box below the video. Feel free to inbox me if you need further assistance.
@143kicks It is easily attainable online, but can be found at certain Shoe Care stores. Just search it through your search engine. If not, you can inbox me here (for some reason, I can't post the website, BUT I WILL PUT IT ON THE INFO BOX BELOW THE VIDEO). Good luck.
@MrBatboy12 I suggest using the Lincoln EZ Cleaner to bring it to life, at least a little! Also, if you have original Raptors (all black/not from 7s package) you can use Suede Dye. Baby oil is to add moisture to the suede and keep it from chipping or flaking. Good luck with your decision and come back for further help!
@referralsxpl0x Well, many of the online locations have stores or warehouses that you might be able to visit, but that depends on where you are located. Try checking the shoe care or detergent isles in discount stores, as you might get lucky and find it. BUT, it is a product that is mostly located online.
you need to make more video's, both of yours have helped me crazy. i would've lost my 6's if it werent for your baby oil video, and now i know how to clean my 5's once they get fucked up this winter. lol. keep up the good work.
@fr3shs0le09 I dont have it, but I have used it before. Its the same concept as the Baby Oil. Apply it on either a finger or microfiber cloth and apply to the area. It is a moisturizer.
@fr3shs0le09 Only a bit. I suggest the Angelus Mink Oil Compound Liquid to make suede "buttery". Good luck and come back if you need further assistance!
