@afroooooooooo i have the gopro and my adhesive mount held on just fine only time it fell off is when i hit it on the ski lift and my friends fell off when he hit the ground really hard and the helmet mount with the two straps is fore bike helmets or helmets with open holes

if I am going to ski with go pro on in bad weather conditions, is the tape still gonna be strong enough? I don't really wanna loose my go pro in the powder. And what is that head strap for?

@gunmaster4900 Use a hair dryer and warm it up for like 2 minutes them gently peel it off

@bmxinghugh You can use a hairdryer to heat it up and take it off. You can reuse it with another helmet but it won't be as awesomely tight as it could be. It's still tight being reused too. You don't need to buy a second one unless you want the mount to be 100% perfect

@WazzaFHD To take one of the adjesive mounts off a helmet, grab a hairdryer and heat the mount up after about a minute or 2 you should be able to slowly pull it off :D

gopro actually instructs you to wait 24 hours before use. if you had any idea how glue works you would understand

@julien2105 Great question! yes it is perfect for a skydiving helmet. As long as you properly mount it, you should be fine.

@npalmern Good choice on the camera! If someone wanted steal your camera off of your head, most likely they would not succeed, but if you leave your helmet in the public with your camera on it, than it is possible.

@XmaltezX It is the same concept, but many bike helmets are flat on the top so you might need the flat adhesive mount.

You'd be better off not using the bracket with the long arm: or "banana"

It puts a good bit of leverage on the adhesive and increases the chance of it detattching. You should use a bracket that keeps it closer to the mount.

Also, for everyone. Get a piece of cord and use it to leash the camera to the the helmet strap. It will act as a secondary catch should the camera come lose... though it could belt you in the face :)

can you use the suction cup to mount to the helmet? if u have to use the adhesive can you take it off quickly

@NJB670 I think the suction cup will only work on a flat surface, the adhesive mount has to stay on the helmet all the time, but you can clip the camera on and off the helmet quickly.

@SSPPhinx Its not so simple to take it off, but When you buy the camera, it comes with 4 adhesive mounts.

@dirtandsnowallday Im not sure if the mount will still have the same durability, but if you want to be safe, i recommend adding some sort of super glue to it.

@CheeseBon yes. it should be fine, because the surf hero expansion kit is made out of the same material, although it is a little bit bigger.
