I agree with harry potter and the chronicles of narnia but i haven't read lord of the rings yet....
I HATE THE TWILIGHT BOOKS THOUGH!!! i used to love them but when i read the vampire diaries i relized how much stephanie meyer copied the vampire diaries.
LOL, good times. Completely different list now :p Ugh here it is: 1. Lockdown by A. G. Smith 2. Compund by S. A Bodeen 3. Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling 4. 1984 by G. Orwell 5. Gulliver's Travels 6. Eragon by C Paolini 7. His Dark Materials Series by P Pullman 8. Pendragon by D. J. Machale 9. We All Fall Down by E Walters 10. Carlie Bone series
I agree with most of your choices, like Harry Potter and His Dark Materials... Although, if I had to choose a "worst book I've ever read", it would go to the Twilight series. But aside from that, I agree with you. I advise you to read Philip Pullman's Sally Lockhart Quartet, it is unbelievably good; and also Artemis Fowl, by Eoin Colfer, it's pretty pretty cool, too, you would love it. GO HARRY, BEST BOOK SERIES EVER!!!!
Hey guys. I haven't been on for a while. Thank you for all your suggestions. I tried some of the suggested books. Yes, obviously some are better than the ones in the vid, but its a big world of books =)
Other than Twilight, I thought you pegged some of the best children's/sci-fi literature available. Pullman, Tolkien Lewis and Rowling are impressive writers. Since it seems you like science fiction fantasy try out the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. It's fantastic. Also, Ender's Game and Dune would be great books to read as well. These books are a little more complicated and adult. I'm not sure how old you are but if you can get through Pullman these shouldn't be difficult.
well im glad to see that some people like reading... but aren't these books only written for young adults? Also, i suggest reading The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. Its really good.
One quote left out:
"The man who does not read good books has no advatage over the man who cannot read them."
- Mark Twain

After reading 1984, I agree. It's a blast.
Maybe not all of those books are beaten, but it should be up there.
