I never recall Perry sunging this song on his Show. I know it well--Toselli's Seranade---a classic TV theme from THE GOLDBERG'S back in the '50s.

Perry Como's voice was absolutely wonderful. Compare Perry Como or Mario Lanza or, any singer from the 20's, 30's and 40's with the crappy, rap singers of today and see how lyrically empty and lacking in depth both the songs and singers are.

Perry's recording was used in "Yoo-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg", the documentary on the life of Gertrude Berg who starred in and wrote "The Goldbergs" from 1929-1955. The radio and television series used an orchestral version of "Toselli's Serenade."
