Both have evolved into different "moves" against each other. They seem to be dancing now! They love each other, if one gets a little too rough, it ENDS immediately. Not by us stopping them..... they stop themselves!

Not really, the cat was already about 2 years old when we adopted the dog.

Tuna spent almost 2 months in my closet upstairs without EVER coming down.

Tuna would sneak downstairs and peek at Dakota sleeping, eventually closer and closer. Dakota is VERY smart and learned quickly the cat is "family" not to be killed! She's also learned how to play. I will post a more recent video, they seem to have evolved into a sort of "dance" with each other.

It took 2 months for the cat to approach the dog. By them, they knew each other was "family". Dakota (dog) "was" an outside dog before we adopted her at 5 years old.

It just takes time and supervision in the beginning.
