The series is pure genius itself. If you cant follow the storyline, then please shut the fuck up and just enjoy the gameplay.

Humor? Of course there's humor! You gotta manage to catch it...The humor has been in previous MGS's like 3 for example, with posters of Japanese models on building walls.

Over the shoulder shooting? Hell yea! no more standing still while you fend off 20 enemies with an assault rifle that runs out of ammo in a second.

Oh yea, and as for the Ipod, different songs that you are listening to at the time, when you grab an enemy, will cause them to react in different ways.

oh, and while I'm on the subject, who in the hell bases their opinion of a game, on the fact that it has to install? 'Skinnypupp852', you wouldn't know a great game if it slapped you right in the face. The gameplay of MGS4, is awesome. It is serious, but they have always added a touch of humor to Metal Gear Solid games. I enjoy it myself. In short what I am saying is, if you own a PS3, do yourself a favor and get this game. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

MGS is notorious for long cut-screens so I really can't see why anyone is complaining about that, and I watched every single one of them with no desire what-so-ever to skip them. The install times aren't that bad. It's like 8 min. for the first install and around 3 or 4 min for the rest. Who cares? Go and take a break for a few minutes or get something to eat during that time. It's really not that serious people. I swear, you people will bitch about anything.

Well you see, some people do know what's going on in the story, because we aren't all stupid fat americans like you. If you actually play the games and listen to what people are saying you tend to actually figure out a story. I used to think that IGN and Eurogamer were bad at reviews, But IGN redemed themselves and you tools are just laughable

I guarantee you won't be so happy with the game when you're done. The first hour - GREAT. Act 2 - EVEN BETTER. After that? There is no excuse for it to even BE a game after that. Oh and that annoying installation? Have fun watching it 4 more times. And to think, they poke fun at having to switch discs in older games... is waiting a total of 40 minutes to install 5 times really that much better?

Anyway, I agree that MGS4 is a great game, I mean, who wouldn't!

However, I wll say though that some of the cut scenes get a tad long, but besides that, I didn't mind waiting for an install, that's to be expected on the PS3.

I give it a thumbs up myself, great review Chris!

(Oh and the box scene in the beginning was hilarious, slapped by a ruler...)
