  • I've watched a bunch of these Bob McCauley videos, and the guy looks like he's ready to blow his fuse any second. Is it me, or does he look like he has a lot of pent up stress and anger? I don't think I've ever seen a long-term raw food vegan look so stressed!

  • I wish you could go video to video and say "This guy is right"...You're the only one who actually gave me a chance to explain myself. So I guess we're an army of 2? Against the big corporate spirulina farming industry - lol sounds funny when I say it...but it's true....

  • spirulina absorbs very quickly

  • Hey how big is Spirulina? Are both species the same size?

  • BULLSHIT

  • wow. Never realized the importance of beneficial bacteria. I've been taking probiotic and supergreen products to aid in optimal health restoration and sustainment along with a nearly flawless diet of minimal or no processed foods. The results are amazing.

  • Great to hear about your results. Raw foods are where it's at. Thanks for the feedback.

  • Please explain to me why spirulina is an okay food. It is a Gram-Negative Bateria! That means not only is it hard to break down, but also it has lipopolysaccharides! Which acts as a endotoxin, and it can be deadly!!

  • How is it gram-negative? Where is the evidence for it being gram-negative? And deadly? That's quite a claim for one of the most nutritious whole foods on earth.

  • Your controdicting yourself. Your asking me for proof (Wikipedia) that spirulina is a gram-negative bacteria; and yet you are the one who is making the bold claim that spirulina (Bacteria) is one of the most nutritious whole foods on the earth. Well here's a thought for you. The bacteria in your gut probably have the same nutition value (For Protein-at least) so why are you taking antibiotics? Don't you just digest them for nutition?

  • I quote -Many species of Gram-negative bacteria are pathogenic, meaning that they can cause disease in a host organism- Interesting eh? Many elements are poisenous, but you wont catch me boycotting oxygen... Some fish are dangerous.. Lets avoid tuna.. Some air is bad.. Lets not breath. Come come.. Please do not generalise, else we can move to some humans are sick, lets lock ourselves away in a box.

  • You have the best point I have heard from any spirulina promoter. Okay I won't generalise my problem with spirulina is it's cell wall or cell membrane. As you know gram-negative bacteria have adapted through vigorus terain. There cell membranes show this. In an effort to perserve their exsistance they had to make changes. Their cell membrane is made up of two parts: a complex lipopolysaccharide whose lipid portion acts as an endotoxin, and protein too protect themselfs from harm.

  • What that means is that they have adapted themselfs not to break easily. It's like saying that we can eat Escherichia coli, Salmonella, or meningitis. These bacteria have a wide range of nutrients! But we can't, we need antibiotics to even kill the little suckers. In this you see my Two problems with spirulina:

-You can't break it down into the nutrients you want it to.

    -And of course the lipopolysaccharides.

  • You break the cell membrane; you'll have my vote. They do this with chlorella, why not spirulina too?

  • Yah, that was a pretty ill-informed remark....

  • Spirulina is a cyano-bacteria, meaning a blue-green algae. Gram negative bacteria is red or pink. When you look up gram negative bacteria you will find no reference to spirulina. Millions take spirulina everyday and are healthier because of it.

  • No you won't find reference to spirulina. You will however find reference to cyano-bacteria. Yeah Millions took soy and look how they turned out??? It's not just that they appear red or pink AFTER ADDING SAFRANIN to the culture, there are more things behind your explaination than that.

  • Spirulina has been consumed for hundreds of years. We have evidence of that. There are many websites that document the negative aspects of soy. There are none that do the same for spirulina. You are the first person I've heard say thing bad about spirulina.

  • I know right what's up with that? I mean soy has been consumed for hundreds of years too. Only reacently have we seen such an uproar against it (And it wasn't from the chinese).

  • @studentoflife01 <=== Not a very bright student apparently . . . not realizing there are two sets of "facts" in the world, those pushed on us by the New World Order elite aka the Illuminati "facts" that are designed to limit our perceptions with a prescribed set of fear/hate paradigms and then there's the real set of facts that benefit us all and liberate us in all aspects of life such as health, love, transcendental consciousness. This is one such fact: We humans are not supposed to eat meat.

  • Ummm...."We humans are not supposed to eat meat." <= How does this have any connection to the conversation we're having? I mean first you mock me with your name calling, then you go on to bring up "the New World Order elite"...Then you talk about "Halth, love, transcendental consciousness"....Do you even know what we're talking about? I was trying to have someone tell me why spirulina is an okay FOOD. This schizo trip your on isn't helping progress the conversation at all.

  • @studentoflife01 - You're obviously philosophically brain dead, since You didn't even comprehend my initial message. Here's a tip, turn off the TV and meditate for a while. Ask Your higher self what makes sense and what is the real truth, then You'll get closer to reality.

Regarding "food", the proof is in the pudding as they say. Have You had the privilege of traveling the continental 48 states? I have. I've lived in other countries in Europe and we don't have trivial diseases like the US.

  • @studentoflife01- "Trivial diseases" such as osteoporosis, type II diabetes, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, obesity, allergies, lactose intolerance ( LOL, wtf?) and many other "common" so-called "diseases" that people think are diseases but in reality are symptoms of an inappropriate diet, lack of proper hydration and malnutrition aka lack of micro nutrients ( vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, amino acids, essential oils, anti-oxidants etc.) which cause the vast majority of Your "diseases".

  • Looks like you're really into spirulina. It's great to meet some one else in the industry that can really contribute.
