  • I'm headed out September 18th, for Navy! If I make my contract job I will be attending SERE-C. Wish me luck, and good luck to the rest of you who are going military! hooyah!

  • Air Force HUA!

  • 1:19 wtf is an aussie doing in this video?

  • @satansunholyvial SERE work with every army in the world.

  • Great video, but the music would work better than waterboarding for an interrogation technique --Scott Bressette, MSgt,SERE Resistance Training Instructor, 1968-1970. (and STILL survivin' thanks to SERE SV-81a)

  • MAN I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT TO DO THIS. im leaving may 31st for BMT

  • im signing next week and pursuing a job doin SERE too! lookin forward to it soo much

  • im signing next week and pursuing a job doin SERE too! lookin forward to it soo much

  • Nice Video!!! Brings back great memories..Taught SERE for 11 years...now I teach Project Management and Business Analysis!!!! Nobody can teach risk management like an old SERE guy.

    Thanks for sharing this

  • Oh man i can't wait!!! Just like my Scout days except times a thousand lol

  • does anyone remember the news clip talking about sere school....the good one with the guys standing infront of the flag crying when they where done?

  • Hey man thats SF SERE its different, this is a showing of SST kinda and what you do as a SERE Specialist, its a great video but it doesnt show the punishment you feel as a SERE candidate.. however great video dude!

  • My boy is a SERE Specialist and I'm very proud of him.

  • im joining the airforce and still trying to decide between SERE and Pararescue, any advice?

  • PJ if you can make it.

  • i was originally looking at para-rescue, but sere specialist is so much more towards the direction i want in life and seems as close to my dream job as possible.

  • @worldDuck7 pararescue is has a large medical aspect. you will learn to do field surgeries and such. the medical aspect is a very large part of your training. but pararescue will be going through SERE training. my recruiter told me that SERE has an actually easier test. also SERE specialist is about training others. so you area teacher.

  • i appreciate the info, i actually have taken the asvab since i made the comment you responded to and scored a 95, after thinking about it alot i would much rather get a job that will give me the training to land a good career outside of the military so i could have fun then.

  • ya...train for a year before joining. my friend was a state wrestler and he still got cut for swimming. also realize they literally drown and recessitate the people in the pararescue jobs so if that sounds like something you can handle, go pararescue.

  • Ive been to the sere school up at fairchild, and these sere specialists are freakin nuts! props too all of them.

  • Cool vid. I recognized a few faces in there. SERE is definitely a badass field. I tried to get a female friend of mine to go SERE, but she got married and changed her priorities. Shame. Anyway, in your slide before HALO, you have a spelling error. Might want to correct that. Good luck dude.

  • haha good luck guys! leavin june 22nd to climb stuff and smack some bunny rabbits aound!

  • good luck to the both of you! my boyfriend tried for team in november 2007 and he got compartment syndrome and had to get surgery. he didn't get enough time to heal but he still tried to pass the final test in lackland before reaching fairchild and he almost got med boarded. he's hoping to cross train in the near future to something special forces again because he hates being a med tech. just be prepared to choose another career field.

  • i volunteered to be a sere specialist. i'm leaving for basic in July. we might be in the same tech school in January.

  • I'm leaving for basic July 21st I'm also doing sere. I guess we will be there at the same man good luck.

  • Good luck to both of you. I'm already an airman myself, so I'll give you a quick bit of advice. Your MTI in basic will hold you to very high standards in Basic. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT be an idiot in basic. If you get recycled (they make you stay an extra two weeks) you will almost always ose your shot at SERE. Good luck to you though otherwise. The Air Force is a great branch to be a part of.

  • Jrs225, I too leave for basic July 21st to do SERE haha. That's crazy

  • @jrs225 I'm planning on going into the AF and they showed me the list of the available jobs, and SERE was one, which I wasn't aware of before. It looks like one I'd be interested in, question is, can you still get deployed if you're a sere instructor?

  • @redgalaxy4 i believe i read on the usaf website that you can get deployed at anytime as it is your duty, but im not positive if it was the usaf website or not.

  • I'm hoping to be a SERE Specialist too are you enlisted? I leave for basic in May
