Do not update normally!! Download the pbp file for the newest version, and name it to 5xx or 3xx or something, like say version 3.71, name it to 371.pbp instead of sony's name eboot.pbp then google to find the firmware hack coinciding to that version. Then you should find it inside your Memory Stick under games and just run the program, but you need 72% charge or something like that to run, it stinks.

this is not psp 3000, psp 3000 is currently unhackable, and to the comments below, its true that its not neccecary to buy one but i find it more convineint to buy one, they arent that expensive, its easier to buy one then to make one, and its good to have in case you brick your psp.
