I served at RAF Halton Aylesbury in 1954 with Ted when he was just about breaking into showbiz. He was the base's postman and had many of us in stitches with his impersonations of not only Danny Kaye but other artists of the time such as Billy Daniels and Billy Eckstine. I remember he appeared on telly and the mess was packed airmen all crowding around a nine inch black and white telly. I could tell more stories if pressed. I have fond memories from them days.
Ted Rogers is a showbiz legend! I remember him always being on TV from when I was a kid in the '80s and watching him at his height when he was on 3-2-1 to those ads for Maccy D's he did just before he died, very funny stuff!
I never really liked Ted - he was very opinionated - but I will give him credit - he can tell a good story. Wasn't he ripped off by supposed "friends" in some kind of investment scam?
The most talentless man in the history of TV - Ted Rogers

Seriously low quality entertainment. Bad jokes, can't sing, but seems to please the pensioners. Did like that trick with his fingers though on 321.

Yes he was and in early 1992 it cost him his House in Little Chalfont, as he was bankrupt, and had to move to a smaller house in Haslemere.
