The UK has an element of hooliganism and no doubt people of that mindset have joined the British army. I still say that overall the mentality of the British soldier is much more professional and desirable than that demonstrated often by American Soldiers. Listen; I don't like to generalise; I'm confident there are a lot of good natured soldiers in the US forces but the gung ho attitude is built into Americans from grass roots. It doesn't bode well when the US Army goes abroad.

Polydynamix said that there are CF troops serving in Iraq, that is not true except for a small number of exchange officers with US units. The CF DID NOT take part in the 2003 invasion or the occupation, the money only went to rebuilding, and small amount of CF personnel helped with the training to Iraqi police and such.
