My DVD goes silent for some reason when Miss Splendid says "Costs?.. costs...? I never discuss money matters..", I thought it was faulty.

@1happycats I have the Sunday Times DVD as well as you, it is heard on that version, but the "35th Anniversary" DVD set (which I have too) must have had an audio fault, as that line is missing.

I think both versions have restored video.

i remember this ep was on a sort of anthology vhs i watched as a kid...it had loads of episodes of this kind of kids show on it, parsley the lion too, i think....if anyone else knows what that might be i'd appreciate it, very nostalgic!!!!

Something I'm interested in finding out, what was the significance of the "All Friends Together" bit? Were the episodes originally joined together when broadcast?

I remember watching a videotape of this back in the mid 90s and the "All friends" bit was in between all the episodes and the"Goodbye" bit was only shown at the end of the tape. Was it done like this on the television?

Another mistake is on the back of the mr.men dvd which says mr.snow twice on series one and two which in series two the title should really say mr.impossible.

I'm not alone then when Little Miss Splendid's voice can't be heard when she says costs. I thought there was something wrong with just my dvd. Also Little miss Bossy's voice can't be heard when she says please.

I'm glad my DVD wasn't the only one doing this. I was going to take it back, but could never be bothered. Turns out I probably would have got the same back. I really noticed the absense of when Little Miss Splendid says "Costs, costs!" Still have it on VHS somewhere in the house, and Little Miss Bossy too. Funny that they are the only ones I recorded off telly and they are the two affected on the DVD's

I was going to by another copy too. There's also an eror on the back of the Mr. Men DVD box (It says Mr.Snow twice on Season 1 and 2). I've never saw the broadcast of the airing of Little Miss Splendid or Little Miss Bossy, so I've never actually heard then say; "Costs, costs." or; "Please" (Adleast, that's my guess of what she was saying, also beacuse of the book).

What channel were the original broadcast of Little Splendid & Little Miss Bossy on? I'm fascinated (I like things recorded off television, beacuse of the idents and announcements). Good old VHS that's what I say! I always prefered video to DVD. Maybe it's the old continuity and fuzziness on the tape something quite vintige about that.

crikey, i'm not sure. I think they were part of kids morning television, so probably puts it on ITV or channel 4. I would have to dig out the old vids to be sure though

Please do. Another thing that annoys me with the Mr.Men DVD, is that the cut betweens with the curtains with Arthur Lowe voicing over; "What alot of Mr.Men there are. I wounder which one we'll be meeting next, can you guess?" Is not on the DVD.

I highly doubt that. It was probably just an error at the disc pressing plant. Remember what happened with the Apollo 18 CD by TMBG that was released in the UK?
