Oh my goshh. This literally makes me cry every time. Charlie was my favorite. He & Claire were my favorite couple on the show. It killed a piece of my soul when he died. I became so attached. The first time I watched it I was a total wreck, completely sobbing. I kept hoping & hoping he wouldn't be taken off the show. I freaked out when they showed a clip of him getting an arrow shot through his throat, & I thought that was bad. :'( He was a very noble guy, and he will always be remembered. <3

this depressed me he is still my favorite character in LOST and i think he was always gonna die from episode 1 he was almost crushed by a drink cart on the plane and he was hung from a tree got in 2 cave ins got blown up in a hatch and shot in the throat in a flash and died by drowning and Claire never got the greatest hits never found the ring and now charlie gets killed to be able to contact the boat with the bad guys on it just for 6 people to get off and Claire to be missing! so very sad ...

I don't really know why, but I think once he actually died, everybody finally realized that he was their favorite character and how much he meant to them.

I mean, did you see the way people reacted when he showed up at Comic-Con 09 and pretty much confirmed his return to Lost, S.6? People completely LOST it... (no pun intended.)

I think he's one of the most heartfelt characters on the show because, you know... he's had a messed up life, but now it's about Claire, & it's very simple & sweet.

When you're watching the episode, you're thinking the only reason they called it 'Greatest Hits' was because Naomi talked about the greatest hits album dedicated to Charlie. But then they go ahead and give the real reason right at the end (like usual) in this scene. It's sad that Charlie died but this episode truely depicted the epitome of his life.

Charlie was one of my favourite characters. I liked his relationship with Hurley. I found it particularly funny when he started calling the baby 'Turnip Head'.

The hero willingly accepts his death so that others might live. I was sorry to see Charlie go but this is what made him great. His story would not have been as good as it is had he let Desmond take his place. Besides, it seems that no one ever really dies on the island. With it's ability to alter time I think the island can bring them all back. That's my hope at least.

Got to admit, I didn't love Charlie's character all that much in the beginning. By the second season, his band flashbacks had become redundant and his character just couldn't seem to do anything right. However, season 3 (especially his final scenes) have made him one of the best. A damn fine scene, Dom keeps up with Cusick the whole way. (which can not be easy).
