  • Unreal. This Is, Spot On Remarkable.

The Ridding Mower As The Lotus 7, Was Comic Genius.

This Was So Well Thought-out, Shot For Shot, Pitch Perfect. A Remake Of The Prisoner Opening, With A Girl On A Ridding Mower...Talk About High Comedy Concept...

The Absolute Crescendo was The See-Saw.

An Outstanding Effort, As Well As One Of The Best Videos I've Every Watched On YouTube.

  • Jolly good!

  • Brilliant parody. I especially loved rover and the see-saws. Good one :)

  • Well done (cute legs too)

  • LOL! Bravo! Brilliant. I'm sure Patrick Mcgoohan would have chuckled and laughed out loud as I did.

  • Whoah! The amount of effort you've put in - admirable! Mind you, a show like The Prisoner deserves it! Good job!

  • 0:44 whoops the teacup did not break!

  • hahahaha laughed so hard

  • Just perfect

She even looks like a female Mcgoohan~~!!

  • That was fantastic. So well thought out and damned funny>

  • This. is. awesome!

  • LOL! I loved that!

  • You should make a Parody of The Avenger with this grass. She could be Miss Piel. lol

  • Love the bit on the see saw - made me really laugh. Very clever parody. Your acting was also very good. All in much better than the awful US remake. Be seeing you :)

  • Brilliant! Very creative & very funny!

  • brill !! love it!!

  • Well, this is better than the remake at least.

  • You did a really cool Homage to one of the best shows ! Keep up the good work, !! Be seeing You.....classic !!

  • OUTSTANDING..great !!! I love it.

  • PS I think this features the best being-knocked-over-by-a-balloon sequence that I've seen in a long time.

  • Excellent, lovely job!

  • I loved this LMAO. It would have been funnier with feminine voices. :)

    Where was this shot?

  • 99/100. Brilliant but lost a point for the bloke in sunglasses not having a top hat.

  • love it, love it, love it!!!

  • Outstanding job.

  • Me again: And some damn fine silent acting, might I add...

  • I almost got kicked out of the library watching this, I was laughing so hard.

Every shot duplicated in a beautifully low budget way.

    Rover never looked so menacing!

  • This was cute and clever. Enjoyed!

  • Nice one !

Like the Dangerman nod in the case

  • INCREDIBLE! I sooooo needed a laugh today and watching this was an awesome surprise. Beautiful, I was laughing out loud all the way. BCNU

  • You're an odd fellow, Number Six, full of suprises. Nicely done!

  • That's feckin class. Job well done... be seeing you!

  • Love it! Great job. Makes me want to try my own version.

  • Great job. :)

  • Wou very nice :)

  • this is heavily awesome. :D

  • p.s

you are a very beautiful number 6,Jessica :-)

  • wonderful :-) thank you

  • quite a good job, very creative, your choice of mcgoohan instead of palm trees in the suitcase a wise one.

  • FANTASTIC!

  • I was watching this show long before you were born! And I've been to the house in London AND to Portmeirion (twice). You made me laugh! I especially like the shots where your low budget created clever stand-ins for the real thing (like the trash bin labeled "resigned"). Good work! - An American Fan

  • "Where am I?" "In The Village, The Wigwam Village."

    Hilarious, Jessica! Nicely done.

  • I can dig it, I've shared this with some my fellow fans of The Prisoner. :D

  • Too funny! I love it.

  • OMG this was amazing. For those who are unfamiliar with the original show, this whole video will just seem bizarre. As for me, an avid Mcgoohan fan, this is pure genius. Girly you are so hot, and the parody is hilarious. Two weeks is quite a measure of dedication to an old and generally misunderstood show like the prisoner. I am soooo glad I caught this. Whatever you are doing, keep it up.

    -Chris-

  • Excellent!

  • This is FANTASTIC! Everything from the titles is represented beautifully. A hilarious and well crafted homage. Well done!

  • I think you should also do an Emma Peel impersonation.

  • That was TOTALLY awesome! I ordered the complete series today. I saw it as a kid and was totally blown away! Thanks for a very nice send up! Be seeing you.

  • Well Done!!!

  • I loved it! I think my favorite part was when you put the picture of Patrick McGoohan in your suitcase...or when you went down after "Rover" got you!

  • I loved it! I think my favorite part was when you put the picture of Patrick McGoohan in your suitcase...or when you went down after "Rover" got you!

  • This is brilliant! Though we were all born after the series ended, we are in love with it! So great to see another generation "hooked in" to it. We had a laugh and then another! Well done. Be seeing you

  • @SarahA1969 Some of us were born BEFORE the series began, young lady. But I agree, this was a cleverly done pastiche by a dye-in-the-wool Prisoner fan. Be seeing you.

  • This is brilliant! Both my kids and I, though born after the series ended, are enthralled by it!. So good to see another generation under its spell. Well done! Be seeing you

  • This video is hilarious. Great job!

  • Brava! you went all out on this one. wonderful job!

  • Wow, amazingly accurate remake of the intro. Very funny stuff. Non-Prisoner fans must be all WTF is this?

  • That was absolutely charming. Incredibly well done. Good show!

  • As a film editor and an avid fan of the PROPER 1960's Prisoner, I just have to say that this is a work of a genius!!!! Very funny!

  • Great work. I especially liked the use of the clothes line and the see-saw. Very creative.

  • Ha-ha! Genius!

  • this the best thing I've seen on t'interweb all year, and I watch some weird shit - excellent work all round.

  • Witty throughout but the seesaw is hilarious--because you reverted it back to its original form. Know what i'm saying? The seesaw was the inspiration for the TV show's thing. It's the inspiration. inspiration. inspiration. Bit stoend here but I think my point is valid....

  • Brilliant!

  • Awesome! Jessica- you have some sort of future in video! Really enjoyed this.

  • Loved it, that was great!!

  • bravo! i'm a long time student of "the prisoner" and simply loved this. what fun!

  • Really nice job!

  • BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great video! I recall seeing the original version when "The Prisoner" debuted on American TV in 1968. You're obviously a fan of the show to have so painstakingly created your own version of it. (Obsessive fans would have liked to see TWO saucers under that cup on the picnic table, however!) I'd like to continue to praise your work but, as they say in The Village, "A still tongue makes for a happy life."

    Be seeing you!

  • I love this! We just did a music video recreation of the opening as well in the U.S. It took us about two years to make! Check out my account if you want to see it! Anyway, keep up the fine work!

  • This is great!!! :D

  • You certainly went for a difficult opening. Well done!

  • Superb, Ms Erskine. You should have starred in the remake!

  • This is fantastic. I sat there in silence, slack-jawed, until you got cold-cocked by Rover, when I roffled. Well played, Miss.

  • Briliant job, Jessica....and I love your hat too!

  • That was perfect. Be seeing you.

  • I'm a fan of The Prisoner too.

    Be seeing you.

  • That was fantastic.

  • ha love Rover in it.

  • Ha, you got the camera angles and edits almost perfect to the original. Well Done.

  • Job well done!!! Thanks for the laugh. Some of the settings in your parody would have fit well into the original show. And it's still better than that monstrosity they made of the remake.

  • Just fabulous. Thanks.

  • Wonderful tribute. Very clever. Congratulations!

  • Just fantastic. You are to be applauded!

  • This is a GREAT tribute! I got a huge kick out of the lawnmower as Lotus Super Seven.

  • This is a clever parody. I'm new to "The Prisoner" and enjoyed Patrick McGoohan's work. Your parody is a great tribute.

  • Superb! (My only, slight, disappointment: the saucer didn't break when you hit the table.)

    Be seeing you.

  • Well done you! Cargo-cult video! Most excellent!

  • Well done you! Cargo-cult vdeo! Most excellent!

  • WigWam Village Inn#2, Cave City, KY?

  • @mergeop Yes it is! Weird and convenient. :)

  • what is the name of the type font to write "the prisoner"?

  • Holy cow, this is fab! Very creative, funny as hell. Right down to the tea cup! My fave show from the sixties - thanks for posting.....

  • Brilliant. I love it !

  • Silly!

  • An amazing job. Patrick would have been proud. Thank you for posting.

  • Awesome Video. Well done!!

  • excellent

  • very good indeed, should have cut to a view of the village when you woke up though. I have been there, its called Port Merion in south wales, very wierd

  • I loved the attention to duplicating the original camera angles and passes. And the choice of Leo's No. 2! Well done and very funny. Be seeing you!

  • Awww! That was great! I didn't know The Prisoner could look so good riding a lawn tractor, lol. Awesome job,I loved it!!! ***** 5 stars to ya cutie! :)

  • Jeez this is amazing! Such attention to detail!

  • This is the greatest thing in the history of things!

  • Creative! I liked it! Be seeing you!

  • Creative! I liked it!

  • very well made and funny.. happens to be one of my fav shows..

  • I LOVED THIS !!! Well done ! And I second everything Desmond said !

  • BRILLIANT JOB Nobopoto...

As far as the AMC remake of The Prisoner, I was a bit dissapointed, It was GOOD but not a 'continuance" or real replay. It WAS clever though.

Many people that I have talked to have wanted a "Return to the Village". where McGoohan was forced to be the new number 2, to run the village despite his hatred for it. "here the beast I am, lest the beast I become". Now THAT would be a great sequal movie (maybe in two or three movie parts, 2 hours each)

  • This is brilliant! Wish there were more women like you in the world. (Have you seen my profile picture?) I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered!!!

  • Aww so funny! the bit where the 'green rover' gets you made me knock my coffee off my desk. The expressions are spot on too - good show number 6, be seeing you!

  • Priceless !!!!!!

  • wonderful. well done.

  • Very cool Jessica; makes my own Prisoner spoofs look kind of tame. Thanks for sharing :)

  • I was in the Village during the filming in 1966. i laughed and chuckled out loud at the resignation and the see saw. Great stuff Well done

  • Make home video parodies is fun, huh? Don't get me wrong, but, you are much cuter than Patrick McGoohan.

  • WOW just discovered this. Very cool. Be seeing you.

  • The lawnmower started the laughter that did not stop...and still hasn't! My sides hurt now.... I'd love to see what you'd do with the last part of "Fallout"!!!

  • very well done!

  • Excellent and very entertaining. It provided me with a good laugh.

You should have upset the cup and saucer though (breaking the latter)!

  • Nice job and really accurate detail eg when you timed the thunderclap with the fist banging on the table like the original.

I like the lawnmower standing in for No. 6's Lotus 7 too :)

I should watch the show again, it was way ahead of its time.

  • That was great. Shot by shot you nailed it.

You are very beautiful, by the way.

  • Makes me smile a lot - fantastic work! You should try to get to Portmeirion, Jess , you'd love it. Even better if you can stay there in one of the little houses (pricey but hey..) - opening the curtains in the morning and finding you're REALLY THERE, or strolling round the Village alone after all the daytrippers have gone home stays with you forever! Few years ago, we stayed a few days in one of the little terrace of cottages behind the Green Dome - total magic.

  • Very nice. It was pretty much shot-for-shot with the real deal. I'll bet you watched the opening video a gazillion times in order to get it just right.

How did you get the smoke-through-the-doorknob effect?

  • This was very good. Well done, young lady!

  • OUTSTANDING!

But it leaves me with a problem:

I don't know whether to call for Degree Absolute, declare you Unmutual, or simply let you be yourself.

  • Absolutely FANTASTIC! I know this bit not strictly on the opening but in keeping with the series and keeping an eerie feel, could you not do the bit where your portrait flies at the screen to be headbutted by the bars?!?

  • i love this

  • Nice job Jess!

How did you manage to get the font correct in the titles though? I swear when I saw you pass out I was crossing my fingers that when the blinds went up - there would be the actual Village.

So much better than that American TV knock-off.

  • @lp115lp

I downloaded The Prisoner font! =D

haha, yeah, I WISH, that'd have been so awesome. I'd love to go to there.

Thank you! Yeah, I think the Americans need to stop trying to outdo the British.... it just does not work. That actor was so.... wow, I know people who could've done better. It was missing Mcgoohan, which sends the whole movie to the dumps.

  • @nobopoto That new show is also british. America wishes brits wouldn't fake themselves into importance and pretend to be Americans. That's what really never worked and neither does pathetic british fraudulence and lies.

  • @KenMendell Chill man. This was supposed to be fun

  • @loffe9 So, when you insult the Americans it's all fun, but if they were to do that to you they'd never hear the end of it kind of thing. I see. That's not a fun game, especially when you have to read it or watch it. You're a prisoner of your own island, perhaps. Very well. Be seeing you.

  • @nobopoto

This is an awesome parody! Thank you so much. I am old enough to have watched The Prisoner as a new series, and I lived through the entire "person = number" reality. I even use the #6 badge as my profile picture on Facebook. I agree the AMC mini-series was OK, but could not match the original. As for some of the other comments here, let the Americans and Brits do what they each do well. I am American, but I believe no American could match Sean Connery, The Beatles, or Patrick McGoohan

  • @nobopoto Agreed. In all fairness to James Caviezel, it's really not right to expect him to replace Patrick McGoohan. A little-known fact: Patrick McGoohan was the original choice to play James Bond, but he turned it down and recommended his friend Sean Connery for the part.

  • @nobopoto You do know McGoohan was *American* :-)

  • Comment removed

  • @lp115lp name me one thing that isnt better than the American rip off? I swear this country is out of ideas all together... im going back to england, just as soon as i find my way out of vegas

  • I laughed so much at this and pee'd so hard I lost a kidney (not one of my own luckily)

One person who was in the room made it a point to watch the show simply cuz of this... well done.

  • @snowboredsnj

AWESOME! If I can influence anyone to watch more Prisoner... I have found my meaning in life. :P lol

I'm sorry, I do not refund kidneys, I do not make enough money. In tiny words at the end you'll see it says we don't pay for any damage done to kidneys, or any other needed body parts. ;P

  • @nobopoto That is ok, I'll be able to get all the parts I need from the dead prostitutes in the basement. You have any other projects lined up I should be aware of so i can stock up on body parts?

  • @nobopoto you are a creative one. guess i know what my next subscription is going to be. :)

  • very nice

  • Delightful!

  • Two minutes and 58 seconds of pure awesome. Well done! :D

  • Be seeing you.

  • Very, very clever. Rather good-looking lady, too. Be seeing you.

  • @DesmondMead

haha, thank you! You're too kind. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • This is very impressive! You are a very talented actor and director. You should really do more like this. Hope to see more from you soon.

  • Comment removed

  • This was amazing. I especially enjoyed the bit where number six was hit by Rover and fell down. Good job! :)

  • Cheers, Jess! Join the Facebook page 'John Drake' and you can follow our progress. There'll be production photos, etc up there.

  • Very well done, Jessica! Lovely use of locations available, and clever editing. I have written a play about Patrick McGoohan which we are performing in Manchester next month. Wonderful to see how many people love the man and his work. Be seeing you!

  • @davidsomerset

Wow! That is awesome! I wish I could come see it!! I'm a huge Mcgoohan fan, I now have a Mini Cooper which I named Mcgoohan. lol

I have lately been doing plays, which explains why I haven't made any videos in forever. Thank you for the nice comment! Good luck on your production!

    -Jess

  • Jessica Erskine & crew, well done. Nice "tribute" of the original PMcG classic.

Especially inspired use of tractor, locations, and Patrick's image going into the suitcase! Keep up the good work and we'll Be Seeing You ~!

  • Jessica Erskine & crew: brilliant! Nicely shot & edited. I think the word "parody" doesn't quite fit, it appears to be more of a "tribute" to the The Prisoner & the spirit of Mr. McGoohan. I especially liked the way you captured the "suitcase" scene & the nice touch of PMcG's photo going into the case! Top marks also for the trampoline & see saw for the Village! Keep up the good work and we'll Be Seeing You~!

  • @Crimedog6

Thank you! Glad to see another Mcgoohan fan!

  • I loved it. Also, is there any way possible that "The Avengers" could be filmed also? I can see a Ms.Diana Rigg in her. 5 stars here!

  • @usndnresearcher2010

I was just thinking about that pretty recently. Unfortunately most of those scenes are filmed with BOTH Steed and Peel, which I do not have 'split screen' and all of my friends are busy this summer. =(

    Thanks!

    -JE

  • Bloody lovely!

  • Great job! You are a girl after my own heart. My only question is...WHY DID YOU RESIGN???

  • @MatthewKarns123

That IS the question... isn't it? ;)

  • Amusing? It's gut wrenching hilarious!!!!! I love it - and I'm only two minutes into viewing it...... I just finished watching it. I haven't laughed so hard in a long, long time. Many, many thanks.

  • @Monkofmagnesia

Thank you for your lovely comment! I really appreciate it, and I'm very glad you enjoyed it! =D

  • Fantastic job!

  • Absolutely wonderful, great job - A big thumbs up! Amazing and nice locations - That 'tent location' representing 'The Village' wow. Great locations and terrific filming and editing with the camera - Impressive re-creation! And love the ride on lawnower lol. 2:45 of your vid is hilarious! :)

And lol, I'm sure the #2 on the trampoline/Circular room, will be change again come the next episode. ;)

    Anyway, much enjoyed great effort.

    G'Day from Western Australia. :)

  • @CellarDoorAU

Haha! Thank you so much for the nice comment!

At 2:45 I actually really hurt my neck falling forward like that, lol.

Really appreciate it, it encourages me to possibly make a future episode. ;)

    -Jess Erskine

  • @CellarDoorAU

Thank you so much! I love fantastic comments like yours! Much appreciated and encouraging, for sure! I hope to be filming again after the summer schedule if I have time in between plays. =)

  • I've been watching The Prisoner since it originally aired and this is a great tribute, Ms. Erskine. Somewhere Patrick McGoohan is smiling...

  • @thephotoplayer

I appreciate that, thank you. That made me smile. :)

  • That was so cool! And you are cute as a button doing it, Great job!
