KTVU still manages to be less tabloidal and propagandic of all the fox stations after 2 years since Dennis Richmond left. KTLA once followed the KTVU format until Hal Fishman and Larry McCormick died and KTLA became a localized version of HLN.
I just watched dennis richmonds last newscast on KTVU channel 2. He's retiring after being with the station for 40 years. Wow that's as long as I have been alive. He will be missed. The news won't be the same without him.
I believe that Piers 30 and 32 were once the San Francisco Bay Area base of operation for the Matson Navigation Company, the major ocean carrier to Hawai'i. I think that both passengers and freight used the facility back in the 1930s and '40s. The deck must have been replaced after the fire because it is used today for special events.
