@Bellandeward 3 ways i know of,1st is photoshop with background remover,or select color range and hit delete,2nd is Gimp,3rd is adobe illustrator.

i have used all 3 and i prefer photoshop,but it depends on what works best for you :)

personally i'm not that good at drawing but practice makes perfect :)

I am really interested in doing my own visual novel but does it require scripting and such? Because im terrible at scripting stuff.

I dont care how much time it will take but i just want to know if its not too hard.

@RaveBeef it does require scriting,but it is not that hard (think of it as words rather than code) compared to other engines like unreal or hammer.

the hard part is the Art backgrounds and people esspecially if your not very good yourself.

only advice i can really give is to give it a go,and if you find your stuck on something go to the ren'py forums and ask there fairly good at helping,even noobies like myself :)

@wolveski Well tbh i have absolutely no problems with making the art for the novel. Only thing i am concerned with is the scripts. If you could help me about the scripting part i would have no problems making rest of the game.

@RaveBeef the only problem with the scripting really is you have to watch your spaces,ren'py comes with a demo game that teaches you all about the scripts but sure if you get stuck ill help best i can :)

@zeek1379 lol hiya Fubar actually this got changed to something compleatly differant,but i have put that one on backburner for moment as i lost the original charecter art i did (stupid p.c lockdown) however i can easyilly remake them,ill send you demo of that if you want.

one i'm making at moment is alot better,unlockable CG's music and movies,as well as unlockable characters :D ill probably send you a demo for that too once ive finsihed at least one path :P

@Kyon245 good question the ones shown are ones i got from the link under more info,it is mostly photoshop that i use,however i'm not great at drawing charectors sooo i make my charectors in either AG3 (artifcial girl 3 which is basically an adult title from illusion) or 3D custom girl (allso an adult title) with this one you have a pose editor and the girls are Cel-shaded making them look more drawn than 3D,Google either you will find them.

ill do a tut later on how i make a VN

theres other programs out there (3D) though like 3D daz that can do same sort of thing or poser,plus plenty of tutorials on drawing anime,best thing to look for is an anime template

@wolveski thanks, I was accually looking into getting a drawing tablet, so its easier to draw the anime, rather than making it with the computer, but Im still checking out some of the 3d ones.

@MiharuHibird depends on what your using renpy or Blade,if your using renpy have a look at the tutorial that comes with it,it explains how to add most things.

@Pixxa0659 its easy really all i did was find some background pictures,and some png's of anime girls (all under link for more info) and some free music,then i put them all together in blaze.

peronally though i would use renpy,both are good but renpy has more options and a tutorial in it how to make games like this :)

however it was a very rough draft,i use microsoft word to correct things now :)

i havent because it is now a hentai game (adult themed) called Tenchi,it is free but its still in beta and has alot of spelling mistakes however if you want to test it i can can give you link via p.m,note that the sex scenes are animated though.

allso i got the music from sam music :)

Unless a person has permission when they are using other people's artworks and such, they shouldn't try to sell their game or whatever. People will get on your case if you use artwork without permission then release something even if you shared freely. It'd be wise to discuss things with others first before trying to sell a product, especially if you didn't do everything (especially the art) yourself.

@terryko30 i changed the story compleatly and the charectors,its now a hentai title

its still in beta and need's all the spelling mistakes corrected (theres alot) unlike normal visual Novels i animated the adult scenes,if you want to test it i can give you link via p.m :)
