Reading all your comments I have to wonder if there isn't an implicit element of racism present. Yes he is a shredding monster but no-one compliments him on his speed and dexterity whereas on any number of similar videos of 'caucasian' guitarists one finds any number of lauditory remarks.

@000Z9A Shredding can be done on any guitar. I've seen a guy in a jazz band playing a Jackson. There's no set guitar for different styles.

@000Z9A just because it's a 'rock' guitar doesn't mean you should only play rock on it. I shred on my Les Paul all the time, and Les Paul (the bloke) was a jazz guitarist. People can play what they want on any guitar. I could play country on Malmsteen's signature if I wanted to, but personally I think that guitar is shite.

@kevenharbour i'm a fan of the traditional singing sound of a LP, it sounds different with a floyd rose, not bad but different. it fits better to shred on an ibanez or esp because they're "machines from hell" (<- lol) and want to be mistreated but a les paul is a beautiful lady and i hope you don't hurt ladies^^ thats my opinion, feel free to tell your own : )
