First up the music was from the little mermaid not rapunzel, they should have left the original the way it was, I'm 26 and love rapunzel not tangled, they made her so different, not only her looks but her personality also. I rate tangled 6 out of 10

they decided to name the thing tangled beacause if a little boy wanted to see it he could feel very self conscious about asking to go see rapunzel with is the name of a fairy story normally associated with girls. he'd be more likely to ask to see tangled.

Ok. I loved the movie...but her dress...that awful awful dress. I wish they would have made it a tad bit longer...and maybe changed it's design. Because that with the wierd hair color and style change...was awful. She loked so plain. x-xJust my opinion, but I think a different dress concept would have been welcome.

I think the oil painting concept would have been a little more "old school Disney", cuz they's what they did with "Bambi" and a few others. And I loved "Tangled", but the only things I weren't fond of were the fact that Maximus looked almost exactly like Bolt and the fact that Rapunzel's feet were a tad big for her supposed slender features.

I loved the movie greatly, but I wish they would have stuck with the style of the concept art. I didn't find the CGI attractive at all. Just the overall look wasn't very good, they tried too hard to appeal to the current style.

@coolchris12345 Yes, it was probably an original story idea, but a basset hound was too bulky, most likely, and they decided on a Chameleon. A LOT of story changes happen behind the scenes. I'm a writer, I know. And I think that the CGI is fine. I can't really imagine it in standard 2D style and I'm glad for the change. Was a bit scared going into it, but it was a cute movie.

They take the shape of Rapunzel and her prince, and the original Rapunzel and prince get trapped into the body of a squirrel and a dog, respectively. So the plot was about getting Rapunzel and her prince back into her human form, and Claire and Vince back into their world.

The concept of Rapunzel was a girl with masses of GOLDEN hair who was trapped in a tower. It isn't as if Disney are specifically choosing blond hair anyway, as this Rapunzel turns out to be Brunette in the end.

@viczai 6 years... They started the film in 2004 but they did so many changes to the film.. with three different titles to the film, re-writing the storyline numerous times, change of directors..etc.. this film wasn't actually suppose to be in CGI at all first..

@WitnessNFLInside Honestly I'd have to disagree. There are movies out there that really couldn't work in 2D (Pixar movies as an example). From someone who's studying art in college right now I can honestly say Tangled is beautiful animated and visually pleasing. A lot of what they do wouldn't be as beautiful in 2D in my opinion. Such as Rapunzel's hair and the lantern scene.

Honestly, she is the LEAST pretty of all the Disney princess. She is more "cartoonish". I say for the movie she was just average but when it comes to retail... the dolls and merchandise are hideous! If you look at the picture lineup of all the Disney princess on most toys she sticks out like a sore thumb. I do understand that they wanted to make her more relaxed and fun for the movie tho. She's just not an mature, PRETTY princess, just more like a loveable, young tomboy.

@VallenChaosValiant darn, though I must say that the horse is better in that role, I would of had Rapunzel have the dog as a pet rather than the chameleon. The 'faithful' dog role could try to warn Rapunzel against Mother Gothel, but of course not being able to speak wouldn't get his message across. The chameleon just adds more comedy to an already funny movie, as apposed to being a comedy part in an otherwise serious movie (like the mice in Cinderella)
