interesting. In terms of voting ignorance can actually be rational since your influence is basically none. However as you point out, this is a topic that directly effects them where they have a rational to know better. Also the practice of commoning to conclusions based on unsupported assertians "it must be the evil companies" is so typical, and inexplicable.
It's hilarious. Darwin's theory of natural selection is a liberal favorite but every person on earth should have full healthcare without having to work according to the liberals. Ha! Good video! They're unbelievably uninformed.
Just the fact that your mindlocked into the whole illusion of democracy by actually continuing the propogandistic Liberal/Repub division speaks volumes of why you label the Venus project advocates as "kooks."
I used to work for one of the "evil" pharmaceutical companies. These liberals have no clue of how much the price of drugs are inflated due to forced compliance with asinine government regulations.
This combined with patent and marketing issues (also govt) makes me wonder how these companies can possibly turn a profit.
@TheLegalImmigrant05 If the regulations keep out competitors, and they are able to lobby to have the regulations come with some sort of compensation placed on the consumers or taxpayers. Just think about cash for clunkers.
@bldgy so if the industry was left alone then everyone could comfortably afford the drugs they need? i'm genuinely asking, cos if not then obviously healthcare is necessary, we cant allow people to go without medication due to price..... we are not talking about flatscreens and xboxs here... it can be life or death
@honkyxadonis "we cant allow people to go without medication due to price" - who is "we"? who are you speaking for?
Also, do you understand that every time you do something nice for yourself, like buying an ice cream or going to the movies or buying a new piece of clothing or eating out, you are allowing someone somewhere to go without medication (or something else equally vital)? :) You are getting something non-vital for yourself, while allowing someone else to die. Think this through.
@TheLegalImmigrant05 i'll change 'we' to me, i dont want people to be deprived of medicine due to price. i pay taxes on my income which goes to the NHS in the uk and i'm happy to pay those taxes. it doesn't seem fair to me that someone born with a condition or someone who catches some serious illness should have to face financial hardship. drug prices are ridiculous, and i dont blame 'evil corporations'.
@honkyxadonis "i'll change 'we' to me" - thanks, that's fair. So you're paying taxes for the NHS. But what if someone is still going without medicine - does it mean you will agree to pay more? how much more? no matter how much you pay, someone somewhere is lacking medicine. If not in the UK, then somewhere else. I hope your principles of fairness are not confined to the citizens of the UK. It's wrong to let people suffer anywhere, right? So the second half of my previous comment still applies.
@honkyxadonis "We" shouldn't do anything. YOU on the other hand should do what YOU want to do. You can also try to convince others iа you want.
My issue in these responses to your comments was with the normativity ("we can't", "we must", etc.). I am not attacking your values, I am simply demonstrating that you are claiming a moral stance you can't physically live up to (no one can).
well, yes!! you know how many people I see that spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on extra crap each month? things like eating out, entertainment, brand new clothes....these can be easily cut out, and with the money you save on that keep it aside for a rainy day.
@suchafool990 come on, we should all save large sums of money, for potential sugeries and treatments? what if i have 2 accidents? we are talking potentially hundreds of thousands of pounds/dollars. not everyone has that kind of money or the ability to save that even if they were really careful

Exactly. Same goes for auto companies - I have no idea how they turn profits (e.g. Ford) amidst this crazy heavy regulation.

i always hear the same arguments from liberals about healthcare.
1. they get into this game of semantics as to what socialism is.
or
2. they talk government programs that are already "socialized" as if they are a huge success.
i guess they have a lot more faith in the government than i do. good video
