  • ...AND canon lens!!! =D

  • send me the link i nedd to buy the RED CAMERA today

  • where can i buy a red camera please send me the website i need one asap i dont care how much it cost

  • @youngphoenix109 You could always go to the official website just by searching "red camera". It will cost $25,000 and is intended for professional work. Personally, I think you might be better off renting a Red or using a DSLR.

  • u better show us video he made on that baby.

  • @mrabuckten agreed

  • What lens is that?

  • hi, is all kinds of lenses attachable with red one, did you but it how much did it coast for the whole package and what all did you get with the package , i am trying to get one. thanks in advance

  • @roshraw unless you have a shit load of money I would advise you to drop the dream now. It is probably close to about £35,000. At a guess thats about $60,000.

  • Oh, hey Napoleon.

  • Is that the Cartoni Focus?

  • What lens is he shooting with....from my eyes it looks like a canon EF telephoto lens?????

  • @Svergara1 Ya, I believe it is a 70-200, kind of looks like an f/4 though. Maybe a f/2.8?

  • @chargerfun34 F/4 i think.

  • where did you get that camera?

  • "huh. what's goin awn?" 0:26

  • like no one else saw that -_-

  • wow you've crazy hair my friend. lol

  • Wow lot of jealous people on here its a great camera if you can even afford to rent it ! Only thing that puts me off it is 1080p is the defacto resolution and i dont want a fat assistant following me around in jeans!

  • this jackass is literally shooting the side of a building

  • I wish I could get a Redcam and go up on a roof and film buldings...the footage would be so beautiful and worth the money.

  • there is a reason 99% of movies (any movie worth mentioning anyway) are still shot with 35 / 65mm film. those film cameras can take a beating, they can get dirty, they can be serviced on the spot, they last forever. they run in -50c weather, or 50-60c weather. they are built with military quality specefications.

try doing that with this plastic / electronic piece of shit red cam.

Lets not forget the dynamic range of film is MUCH higher than any digital format currently out.

  • Agree!

  • Disagree! Wait... what are we talking about?

Regardless: I disagree, or something. Crap... I'm totally off track here. What I think I really mean is that pigs deserve just as much respect as violins, even if they aren't kosher.

  • its funny how people think how great these red cams are, considering when your on location, and you decide to change lenses. if you get 1 single piece of shit, dust etc on the image sensor, your footage is fucked, and the camera needs to be serviced.

With film, the film is the sensor, anything gets on the film? no problem, the shit runs 24 frames per second, that compromise is long gone the second you start running the camera.

  • hahaha so true!

  • shit gets in the gate you're just as fucked as you would be if you got dust on the sensor.

Almost everyone's embraced the red, it's going to revolutionize independent filmmaking.

Normally I wouldn't argue over this, but you're just such a stupid piece of shit hillbilly. You make us all (white people) look bad. Black people have crackheads and gang bangers holding them back, and we have you; a goddamn bucktoothed hillbilly with an internet connection and a big yap. Go fuck a moose, ya clown.

  • What don't you understand about the word "independent"? Film's going to be around for a long time. Digital is advancing every day, but so is film. The big-timers are going to use film. This is for smaller productions.

Anyway, try to watch your mouth (hands?); you'll never work on a real set if you have that kind of attitude. I feel bad for you man. Move to a city and meet some people outside your demographic and I think you'll feel pretty bad about the way you're acting

  • The Red One is a CINEMA camera; what do you mean it's for smaller productions? Plenty of new (and definitely not small-scale) films have been shot with the Red, including: District 9, The Informant, Gamer, The Knowing, Jumper, Angels & Demons, My Bloody Valentine 3D, etc...

Also, you clearly don't understand anything about filmmaking, so don't use YouTube to bother people who actually do.

  • Canon lense?

  • damn im jealous!

  • amazingly crazy looking camera...hahha

  • whoopde fuckin do!

  • hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • How much was that red camera? and is it all its cracked up to be?

  • Apparently it is all its cracked up to be, it costs $17,500 thats just the base for the eqipment with it you can expect to pay way ovwer 20 thousand.

  • It's a money pit. Expect $30k+ for a fully rigged setup if you're building it from the ground up- and that's using still (SLR) lenses.

Oh, and you'll need one hell of a computer to deal with the footage.

  • actually you don't

  • actually you do.

and if you think you can edit 4K resolution (12mp sized frames) on any computer, your about as retarded as the guy next to you.

    moar idi0tz plz..

  • The red codec adapts to your computers specs and reduces the resolution to a manageable size. You can see a demo of this on the Red website using a mac pro. Maybe you should know what your talking about before you take the dick out of your mouth to say something.

  • well ur retarded if you've never heard of proxies. Edit your project in standard def and online it back to your 4K asshat.

  • Your comments are ridiculous, anyone who could afford to shoot 35mm all the time would do it, have you ever shot 35? its expensive as hell. Serviced on the spot? What are you talking about? Any 35mm camera is a precise piece of equipment, easy to break, costly as fuck to repair. No registration to worry about with the red, plus its inexpensive. Its a good option for real people, we can't all shoot film like you do Mr.Spielberg.

PS. You play wild side like a fag.

  • Wow, my bad, you're Canadian. Fuck I'm embarrassed, as a Canadian. I didn't know that attitude could travel so far north.

  • good comments! Most of the twenty somethings with the latest gadgets make crap and post it to youtube or vimeo and it stops there.

  • attauly a mac book pro can handle the footage, using the recode codex. u also need a extra man on the camrea crew called a DIT (Digital image tec) witch costs more. but all in all compared to running a 35mm cam it's still alot cheaper. like comared 2its competitors like the D21 and better made camera but it only does 2k and is about 4 times the size, and is priced at about £400,000 what ever that is in $. Authough u got a nice croma graph on the red u can beat a proper eye peice not a lcd one

  • With a hairstyle like that who needs a monitor hood....

    Mike

  • lol

  • Hahaha. That was extremely funny! :oD

RED is okay apart from its RAW format. We converted one of our Wescams to take RED and Genesis but as yet have not had the work for it. Plenty of 35mm and Cineflex but no RED.

May invest in one myself though for D-SLR work.

  • @mickjoebill lmfao
