@mybrainfknhurts No it wasn't.Wasn't that great.Wasn't that bad.Just your average action/horror movie you'd watch if you were bored on a Saturday night
the movie was coll i liked it ....the sound was awesome
but the games pure awesomeness gotta say that Doom2 scared the shit out of me god damnit ! i was little ...when my cousin played but i was terrified ........Doom 3 loved it also..
@m14g Yeah, game/ movie crossovers never go well. I was pretty pissed that they removed the hell and demons and replaced it with some stupid biological experiment thing. At least the main monster looked some what like a hellknight? :D
@bioshockfan1 That movie wasn't Doom, it was a leach trying to earn sales by sticking the Doom label on its face. That's why I watched it once - just so I could say I didn't piss on it without giving it a chance - and then never watched it again. It wasn't Doom, it was a generic sci-fi/horror film that had nothing to do with the premise behind Doom (accidentally punching a gateway to Hell on a distant planet-side military installation).
Clint Mansell's score was the film's only saving grace.
@bioshockfan1 Well if you two check the wiki, you'll see that it was loosely based on Doom, not that it was an attempt of a video game crossover into a movie, and besides, why be "pretty pissed" if we got a doom movie anyways? and also the whole C24 story makes More sense, as the lone marine in Doom is just a normal canadian soldier (not a us marine, lets face it, if he were, the game would end at the first level. We all know it), and also there aren't many movies that are As Awesome.
Am I the only one who finds this song oddly reminiscent of Grabbag a.k.a. the Duke Nukem Theme (especially Metallica's cover)? I wonder if that's deliberate.
Clint Mansell should have done the tracks for Doom 3 as well.

this guy captured the theme of doom so well!

Clint Mansell was the only guy in the Doom movie crew that knew they were making a Doom movie.

I wish that music could fully redeem a movie, if so this movie would be good. But sadly, music can't so it isn't.

This is not the song used in the movie. This is a mix up of three of them, all remixed by the legend Clint Mansell.

@JacksonFelblade But the little booklet that came with the original game specificly states he was a US Marine. In Doom 3 he was a UAC Marine.
cerberus400 4 months ago
@bioshockfan1 Idk they said mars was hell and C24 was the chromosome that pretty much seperates angels and demons.

Man, this song starts off insane, and then gets more insane as it progresses on.
To those who have played the game, does this sound any similar to the Doom (game) theme?

nope but you can look up the doom 3 theme on youtube

@Larry2900 my favorite doom was either doom 64 or doom3
