@Juonih ... Rick plays a lot of funk and R&B . I started playing this type of music about two years ago . One of the first things I noticed was the feel was way way ahead of where I was used to playing . I am basically a rock drummer .. ringo , bonham , jeff porcaro .... they have either a behind the beat or right on the beat sort of feel ...but these funk drummers , gospel , and R&B drummers play way ahead of the beat .. it feels like its rushing if you are not used to it .
