@redvsblue489 The power steering malfunction was actually just recently recalled, I just got my letter about 5 days ago. My car has not had the problem, and from what I've heard, it only affects pre 2009 model year cobalts. If mine ever does do it, I get it fixed for free, so I can't complain. lol

@redvsblue489 I have a transmission problem on my '06 SS, whenever I put it into 4th gear it doesn't "shitft" right away like it is supposed to. Instead it decides to shift 5-7 seconds after I put the stick in the 4th gear position.

It's possibly because it's an '05? IDK honestly I guess I've never noticed that. But I do know that on newer SS's, like '08 and up they are lower and they only have the SS lettering, not any other special stamp, like how mine has the "supercharged" stamp on it.

They are the "message board/information display" buttons. You can scroll through the menus and see information about the car, including mileage, oil life, Fuel Economy, Trip odometer, coolant temp, and any warnings that would pop up such as low coolant, "ice possible" (pops up when outside temp is beow 35F.), etc.

So where's the vids of ur car douche? And if ur SS is stock, it puts only 260 to the crank there bud. not 280. and a stock ss/sc puts 205 to the crank, which is about 185 to the wheels.. Ur cobalt prolly puts 230 to the wheels. While mine prolly does about 205-215 thanks to the intake and exhaust. So it would acutally be a decent race, considering your car is stock.

Is your car stock? If so, like I said it would be a decent race. It would be almost a race that depends on the driver, not the car. If ur car isn't stock, then yeah, your car would take mine hands down. I'm not dissing newer cobalts, but I just prefer a supercharged car over turbocharged. I like the whine more and it doesn't seem as "ricey" with a supercharger.

no shit it was the first year for cobalts. I said in its car class, not just Cobalts dumbfuck. And yes, I am guessing that I gained close to 35 horse to the crank. I have seen a dyno vid when the guy swapped to a flowmaster Super 44 in his cobalt, using stock 2.25" pipe, and got a 15 HP gain from just the muffler, and that was to the wheels. So I'm pretty sure 2.5" Cat-back with the flowmaster super 44 plus intake could give about 35 to the crank.

I don't think i mentioned anything about plugs there buddy. and yeah lets see, the intake kit I have(K&N Typhoon) is dyno tested to gain 8.1 HP to the WHEELS, which would mean about 12-15 to the crank. The muffler I have was dyno tested on a Cobalt SS for 15 to the WHEELS, which would come out to about 25 to the crank.

Plus the larger pipe, which is prolly only 2-4 HP, if that.

So yeah, I think my guesstimate of a 35 HP gain to the crank is logical there buddy. As for to the wheels, I prolly only gained about 20 HP, give or take 2-5. But for spending under $500 dollars to get to the wheels what the car is rated stock at the crank is very good.

And if you don't believe the specs, there's a vid around here of a guy with an '06 SS/SC that got 12.5 WHP off of the MUFFLER only. And don't even get me started with car knowledge kid. why should they stay sc then the turbo is faster and has cleaner emissions and produces way more power. and yes my bad they go for 19k where i live and 15k on ebay. and did you ever notice the sc'd cobalts ever getting attention on Nurburgring or on their 0-60 times nope because their SLOW. and thats why the turbo'd cobalt is the fastest fwd car around for under 25k

Funny thing is im guessing im putting around 240 from intake and exhaust and yes, the SC cobalt was the first cobalt to set a record on nurburgring. they ran the Z06 and SS/SC cobalt on the same day and both shattered world records for their car class.

haha no i didnt get ripped off on this car. I got it with sub 10,000 miles and got an extended warranty. And I HATE the turbo cobalts anyway. they shoulda stayed supercharged. The supercharged balts aren't 100% rice at least. and plus, I was looking at an '08 turbo cobalt before i found this. 22,995 plus tax title liscence. so yeah, ur a little off on ur guesstimate. oh and not to mention, it didnt have the sunroof, and had the tiny ass spoiler.
