how do you keep the heat for 3-4 hourS? whenever i have a bbq the charcoal only lasts 1/2 hours max and then its all done and cool. Help? Also.. where can i buy a bbq similar to the one you have with the cutting board area. Thanks
@Airborne80 Hi Airborne...I saw your question here and I have done a few of their rib recipes on my gas grill. I have a three burner grill and I put the left side and center grills on ( I alternate the center grill on/low/off depending on the temp) and, of course I put the food over the right side grill area which is not lit. Following all other directions here, the ribs come out great!!! Hope this helps.
Man..... you kick ass on the BBQ brother! Monday, I have surgery to repair my elbow (long story haha) but I will use my recovery time to watch every one of your videos. I LOVE to BBQ and smoke meats but am only now (at 47) starting to get good at it. Youtube is so awesome and finding you here is a real treat. Thank you!
bradyischamp, it's an old weber table model which they no longer make, unless you get the perfomer model with the self-lighting charcoal option. (lame -what were you thinking, weber?) -BBQ Pit Boys
Is the self lighting option really that lame? I use it to start the charcoal in baskets and find it works much quicker then the chimney. (It's also optional to use, but if you are doing some quick burgers, it could help)
I love my performer model /w the nicer grates. Oil them and they work great! I ordered 2 extra in case I mess these up and they rust.
Thank you BBQ Pit Boys for all your tips and advice. It has helped me get my Canadian West Coast cooking more towards your standards :D
Ive lived in St. Louis most of my life and never seen ribs cooked like that. Im a trucker and Ive noticed, Memphis cooks St louis style ribs, St.Louis cooks Texas style ribs and Texas cooks Kansas City style ribs and Boston cooks Southern style ribs.
I love that you cook up the bits and pieces! a lot of people just throw that away. I usually snack on the smaller pieces about halfway through while waiting for the ribs to get done.
You just joined utube less than three weeks ago and you are already calling people 'looser'?. There's no way you're 30. You sound like a bored 12 yr old!!!

What kind of grill do u use,and charcoal?I'm looking for a grill that isn't too expensive, but is great for grilling.I was wondering, how do u keep the grill hot for 3-4 hours?Do u use a chimney or what? I know this is a lot of questions, but i'm hoping ya'll help.
You can get a decent one at Wally world for 20 bucks. and get yourself a charcoal starter for 10 bucks weber brand is great or cheper brand is ok I just like the weber brand it seems safer to handle when pouring in the coals and as far keeping the coals hot just let them be put them it starter let them turn slightly white and prepare your food. close the lid it wont get to hot if it doesn't get to much oxygen thats why they have vents. control the heat by oxygen exposure.
I bought a wally world grill for 20 bucks, and i absolutely Hate it,the instructions are NOT user friendly and the way the lid fits all the smoke rolls into ur face as soon as u open the grill to check anything. And the tray isn't sturdy enough to hold a full plate of anything, but as they say i got what i paid for! so when i say inexpensive i meant like 75.00 or so.The rest of ur instructions aren't very clear so it's not much help, but thanks for the reply.
You want to look for the Weber One-Touch Gold Charcoal Grill. They are excellent grills for around $130-$150 and last many years. It is worth saving up for and while your at it, buy a chimney starter. Kingsford charcoal works well. Use the top and bottom vents to regulate the air flow/amount of heat you want. Use a oven thermometer on the cooking grate and a deep fry thermometer for the top vent to keep track of the temp. You'll be good to go.
