I have turtles and sometimes they mistake my fingers as food if they are hungry and I keep them in water. I see it right away in their body language and pull my fingers out. Vicky apparently saw the same in the croc ("don't bite mummy"). The croc follows her in the house and sits nicely by the TV as my turtles do - this may be love. Reptiles' body language is subtle and takes years to get to know to.

With exotic animals like a crocodile as a pet, the "owner" would have to pay 110% attention and in a way, throw out their social life. If the crocodile even scared her while she was driving she could cause an accident.
