They were all in Hawaii during a break in their tour and were riding around on some jet skis when Aldo hit a wave too hard or in some other way caused him to wipe out. The jet ski he was riding flipped and one of the handlebars struck him in the eye, bruising it very badly. They were scheduled to shoot this video the very next day, so the eye-patch was a quick solution.

It's always been the lead guitar solos that have hooked me, as far as feeling like a certain song is badass or not. This is what attracted me to Aldo's stuff. I began listening to him on local Tucson FM radio, and bought this album on cassette...lol. I still have it, but it's all dashboard-sun-warped now. Bummer!
@WickedTornado It was Aldo that played all those little hooks and catchy guitar licks, but Kevin was an exceptional guitarist who could play circles around most. I gotta say, I will always envy folks like you who were around back when music meant something. Not to say that the "music business" lacked corruption, but at least there was something to be inspired by, to feel. Of course there are bands to-day with genuine quality, but the old scene is what instilled in me such a love for music.

Folks it might not be him, but when you look at the thumbnail of the profile pix, it sure looks like a 54 year old Aldo Nova. Take it for what its worth but just don't shoot the messenger.

I guess he flamed out his career early on when he took on the "rock star" persona, went wayyy overboard with blow, and dirtied his diapers with every record company that mattered. Wonder where he is now. But I still dig his stuff. joel

Used to jam Aldo after getting back from the local Night life which was plenty in the Eighties . or before we would head out for the evening we would rock the barracks .. maybe slam a German Beer or two ..hit a bowl of some kick ass two toke your stupid for about a hour or so hash.. goosd times ! !!!! aldo is retired i would think, there is one song i know left and that's "hangin on a heartbeat" from '91.
we used to truck into the back lakes of nova scotia in the early 80's, and when we got there we would always crank Aldo. thanks for the memories.
