  • Anyone find it ironic that the Ohio CAT truck is powered by a Cummins?

  • whats that runnin off the belt?

  • @MrDrPrPatrickStar86 my best guess is the fuel pump

  • 50 jews per mile LOL

  • it is a custom block and has a cummins head and crank in it. if it looks like a cummins to u i think u need to look a lil harder at cummins and open ur eyes

  • Its a custom billet block Cummins

  • thats a CAT block from a trackhoe with a custom head

  • @inyourfacedouchebag that is not a cat dude it is a billet block with cummins parts

  • Those turbo's! Jesus!

  • serious motor. for serious power.

  • custom built inline six.not a cummins

  • @Fordpower2150 your some what right but it is a cummins on the inside. rules state can be a better block but has to house a v8 or inline6 swing crank

  • Sled pulls have different classes. They have to run a factory size block. Cant just throw whatever they want in there with no restrictions. And they are sponsored by Cat.

  • Its a cummins

  • its an inline six... there is no ''brand name parts... everything is homemade... i mean other than turbos and pump... and they are home ''tweaked'' i would say..

  • Looks just like a cummins

  • @schrein9 thats cause its a cummins based motor

  • No air filter on Turbo?? end if go in a little rock?

  • i bet that front turbo sucks a shitload of dirt in.

  • @MrKenworthman112 If it did the turbo would be junk instantly. So it definately doesnt. Good try though.

  • 0:52 why didnt you trew a hand of sand in it and see what happens ;$

  • 12v common rail.. mec injc 2 1.5a.r compound turbos... er so looks like fun tell it runs away

  • cummins will never be as good as Caterpillar, period!!

  • @hitower9 So THATS why Cat is giving up making on-road engines!

  • @hitower9 The Ohio Cat pulling truck motor is neither a CAT or a Cummins. It's a custom built Inline 6 built to cummins specs

  • @MrBowtie95 buit by CAT thus making it a CAT engine

  • @xmodrock Negative, Sponsored by CAT. The motor was built by Holly Woodruff Diesel, look them up.

  • @xmodrock This should clear things up

type in OhioCAT Pulling Team 08 yr Review pt1

Notice on the block itself and the intake runners it says Woodruff Diesel

  • @MrBowtie95 i don't see it ;-)

  • @xmodrock haha, misinterpreting a motor and sponsors is excusable. Stupidity is not :)

  • @MrBowtie95 well you don't in this vid.. never been fortunate enough to see this in person

  • @hitower9 hahahaha wow your pretty good at being sarcastic

  • @hitower9, Thats why they used a cummins in there CAT pulling truck, because they are not as good as cat engines.

  • @NathansBackwoods

is that a 24 valve cummins?

  • @tpvalley, its a 12 valve like the second gen cummins, they have the same injection pump...its just a bigger version of the 5.9, Its the big block...lol

  • @777worldliner, how what?

  • @NathansBackwoods how is CAT better than cummins?

  • @777worldliner, my message was directed toward hitower9, Sense the sarcasm, i was giving him shit about how he said cat makes a better engine, did you mean to ask him this question?

  • @hitower9 to bad cat isnt in the otr game btw go change your spark plugs

  • @jonesd5o diesels dont have spark plugs. they use glow plugs to start up and they rely on high compression for combustion.

  • @holmesboy14x ummm cat acert engines with 2007 emmisions had spark plugs in the exhaust and not all engines use glow plugs some have no cold start help at all and Cummins uses grid heaters the military multi fuel engines had spark plugs too and could run on kerosene diesel gas oil transmission fluid jet fuel btw did you just learn diesels are compression ignition?

  • @jonesd5o Spark plugs in the exhaust??? I think you should learn a bit yourself before you start giving "lessons". I am curious what you think these spark plugs would do if they were there.

  • @Thuber250 oh yea maybe you should learn a bit more research 07-10 cat acert engines for on highway use and you will in fact find that cat put a spark plug in the exhaust system 10 seconds of actual research before opening your mouth on youtube can make the diff between looking stupid and having actual facts to back your statements

  • @jonesd5o Easy now killer. No need to turn all keyboard bad ass on me. And you are correct. I was unfamiliar with the Acert systems and they do in fact have a spark plug in the exhaust system. You are the diesel info God. lol

  • @Thuber250 just saying yea i was right yea i wasnt talking shit i know its hard to tell who knows something on you tube and who dont but if i wanted to blow smoke up every ones ass i would have at least asked them to stand up you think just cause i made a statement it was out of ignorance and i was talking shit but you didnt bother to even look before you thought i didnt have a clue you represent the majority of youtube open mouth and insert foot

  • @holmesboy14x only small diesel engines have glow plugs such as a international v-8 diesel (powerstroke) or isuzu v-8 diesel (duramax)

  • @hitower9 ummm THAT is a cummins lol

  • @hitower9 haha u dont know shit about diesel engines then plus cummins is cheaper to work on

  • @hitower9 then why did a caterpillar pulling team put a cummins in their truck?

  • why did soot come out of #6 cylinder, possible exhaust leak

  • it is in no way a ford truck and yes it is a spec built cummins block. I believe it has to accept a standard cummins crank to be elegible to pull "don't quote me". All i can figure is that they think a cummins design is better since CAT and International are friends. OH well

  • I watched this truck pull in Tomah, also in Hutchinson, the team that put this truck together did an AWESOME job!!!

  • technically its not a cummins, its just built to cummins specs i believe its a billit block

  • Comment removed

  • that's the most screwed up truck in the world if you think about it... it's a ford truck with a cummins engine in it and cat logos all over it lol i saw it pull in wayne county ohio only the drive shaft snapped lol

  • @griz4020 yes it would be screwed up but the engine is not a cummins its custom built. It might have the specs but it is not a cummins

  • @nuckenfuts12 hm well that's cool. last time i saw it that engine looked a hell of a lot like a cummins lol

  • Comment removed

  • @griz4020 technically its not a cummins. yes its the same spects as a 5.9 but it has no way of cooling itself like a cummins lol. this motor came from a giant slab of billet steel and was put into a big CNC machine at a company called AirBorn in Wilmington Ohio. really the only thing that would make it close to a cummins is the number of cylinders and the cubic inches. everything else is completely custom

  • @stevensjustin87 well yeah everything is gonna be custom because it's a pulling truck but still it's basically a cummins lol

  • @stevensjustin87 What about the clinderhead and timing gear?

  • @WieDrDerJonge basically the same as a cummins but like i said, its all custom. you cant make 1500+hp, pull it all year and it be just a regular ole cummins. all the open trucks are more or less completely custom engines and chasis

  • Nice!!!
