I thought TWC stopped using the National Weather Service forecasts since May of that year.
Maybe this 4000 didn't get the upgrade which the XLs already have.

@WeatherSTARIII Weather Star 4000 units did not stop using NWS forecasts until some point in 2003.

@publisher73 They discontinued NWS forecasts on most units in November 2002, but some units, like my 4000, stopped using them earlier that year.

i love the 4000 and XL... i hate hearing the forecast, for I am not hard of hearing.

a 4000 in 2002? Such is a rarity.
How about a 4000 in 2008?
That's happening for those poor cable companies.

That's to where you go wrong because select Comcast headends have a 4000. ;)
i meant like the cable systems in apartments and stuff.
