These 2 are the BEST and always will be. I always loved how you could see Alan's emotions just by looking at him,even without him speaking. His love for Monica is so evident in this scene. I love it!!

I have seen this video at least a dozen times and have never commented! this is by far my favorite Alan and Monica scene EVER! there is just an amazing chemistry between the two and Leslie Charleson is such a good actress! this storyline is so powerful that not many people could pull it off, at least not with as much conviction and reality as LC did. these two truly are the greastest couple in daytime.

This HAS to be one of my favorite scenes of Alan and Monica in the 90's...they're older...more mature...been to hell and back and going through hell again...yet they are showing the deepest love without saying much at all...LC playing the cancer patient was AWESOME...she displayed every level of what a patients goes through...but does not overact it...it comes off VERY believable...*this is also how I feel about NLG's current s/l WHEN they give her screen time*...

Here's what I mean by great chemistry. This is the big difference between A&M and the newby couples. A&M don't tell each other I love you every waking minute nor do they profess their love to other characters all the time. Through their chemistry/facial expressions/gestures, you know that they love each other deeply. It's an essential of all great love stories.

The newby couples are constantly verbally professing their love because they have to remind the viewers that they are in love because it's not very believable otherwise. Someone needs to tell the writers that sometimes LESS IS MORE.

This is the big difference between A&M and the newby couples. A&M don't tell each other I love you every waking minute and they don't profess their love to other characters all the time. Through their chemistry/gestures/facial expressions, you knew the love was there. It's the same in any great love story. In Casablanca, Bogart never tells Bergman that he loves her, but you knew it.

Yes I loved the cancer s/l too...Stuart and Leslie did such a great job, as always....They have such a natural chemistry together...Truly one of the best couples in daytime ever

Yes, I must admit LuLu was making me very anger as well. I mean, he's having a hearattack for goodness sake stop yelling and badgering him u little twit. I also liked the way Alan, was asking about Robin. I mean, he's dieing and yet he still thinks of others. I think that's why KM is so good in though scenes she does with Stuart, she doesn't even have to act when she's in a scene with him it just comes natural. That's what, I shall miss most about this character.

I agree with you about the fact that they don't even look like they are acting when they do scenes together.I guess when u work with someone for that many years it just comes second nature. Stuart and Leslie are truly wonderful together and it's ashame that gh is just acting as those the Quartermaine's never were.

You got it. But the amazing thing is these two had the chemistry from the start and it just got deeper and deeper. So many of the actors on GH now have no chemistry at all and/or the acting is forced. Did you watch GH today? It was disgusting. Alan is on the couch having a heart attack and LuLu is badgering him with questions and accusations. I can't believe they are treating SD and the character of AQ this way.

I agree. So many of the actors on GH today have no chemistry with one another. These two were a rarity.

I don't have a favorite scene of A & M together...there's too many to pick from. These two are such brilliant actors. Wwhen you watch them, it's like they're not even "acting", it comes so natural for them. I also agree that they can express so much without saying a word, just a facial expression says it all.

I liked what you wrote as your summary as well. I mean, Alan as always been there for Monica, who's gonna be there for her? I think Leslie and Stuart did a such awonderful job during the BC storyline. Thank you again for posting all these great clips.
