Comparing daws is pointless, Abelton, pro tools, Fl, whatever...they all have the same fundamental function...there is no difference in quality, that is up to you and your VST's to decide. Each daw has it's own little unique things, but really, they can all make the same music. Every one swears by what they know. I for one do not like the flow of Abelton,( but it is still an excellent daw). And I'm not going to bash some one for thinking otherwise.
@AtlasHugged7 I totally agree. I've been using FL for about 11 years now, and while I've ventured into Ableton and Pro Tools, I've never reached the comfort level I have with FL Studio. Everyone can say their DAW is better, but ultimately that's decided by the comfort level of the user in the DAW.
@AtlasHugged7 I have to tell you this is bulshit that the person behind the daw is what it counts since u cannot apply your creativity and cant expres yourself if you dont have the good tools....
@wantedwanted21 I can't really tell what your trying to say, but, I'm not saying you need the best VST's and equipment in the world to make a good track, but some 3rd party free ware plugins can actually degrade your quality...I have a lot of experience with free ware so I'm familiar with the effects of crappy plugins.
OK ,SO, when i put drums into the song, i equalize them so that they are quite bass-y, so you could hear them, but when the melody over them cues in, it sidechains. i don't want that. can someone please help?
@epundo3 It's kind of hard to guide you without seeing your track, but I'm going to go on the assumption that you just boosted your lows and low mids on your drum track's EQ. Has your lead melody been EQ'd at all? Does it play in the same frequency range as your drums? If so, your drums may be occupying all that space and not leaving enough for your melody, thus giving the impression of volume loss.
hey uploader have you tried any of the izotope ozone plugins? theyre really worth the purchase. But you seem good with mixing as it is so idk if youd really wanna get it.
Changed to ableton and the performance is better...but i miss in a kind of way fl studio even if ableton has better tools and better sound quality =( I MISS YOU BABY !!!
@wantedwanted21 Ableton isn't better than FL Studio, not even in the Audio Quality, theres alot of famous producers who use FL Studio, Ableton is for lazy ass people, Logic Pro and FL Studio are amazing softwares! Ableton was made for lazy ass guys.
@Jhonatan5 who told you that ?? from my experience i can say that the things that i am able to do in ableton are not the same in fl studio and ofc logic pro is a good daw its even the best of all but i think you should get straight information about ableton, lots of GOOD producers are using right now Ableton and could you please name some of the good producers using FL studio appart from Afrojack ?
@wantedwanted21 Don't be a fanboy, and who is afrojack? im talking about real producers :) as Kostantin Yoodza, Secret Cinema, they use FL Studio, and im sure theres alot more! Ableton is a nice software, but don't come here saying that is better than FL, coz it isn't my friend, YOU have ur own way in ableton, as anyone can have in FL or any other daw.
@wantedwanted21 Arty, Avicii, Sidney Samson, Laidback Luke, Basshunter, Orjan Nilsen, Deadmau5 did when he made 'random album title.' These are just some of the producers with a reputation that use FL....
@PalMundo90 so are all of them using RIGHT NOW FL studio ??? im not sure...because you see they used fl studio and changed to another daw and never got back to fl studio.
@wantedwanted21 ok, I don't feel you justified the point you were trying to make AT ALL. All you got out of this, was laidback luke uses ableton. You're an idiot.
@PalMundo90 are you completly retarded ? you sayd all of the producers that he named are using fl studio thats why i sayd that laidback luke is not, please go and visit a doctor, you have a big problem.

@PalMundo90 oh you just know how to insult people right ? you useless piece of shit,i wonder if you are able to do something else appart of this :) ..
@wantedwanted21 Adam Szabo, Nitrous Oxide, Maor Levi, Juventa and Suncatcher (just to name a few) are all great producers, and they use FL studio. I work in both FL and Logic, both are superb daws in their own ways. And regarding to sound quality, that's totally up to the producer himself/herself. It's not like (un)ableton contains magic powers, and automatically mix the tracks into perfection for ya xD
@MikeAdamsMusic what i was saying about the sound that its great, its about that the performance its really good, you see when i loaded a bunch of vsts on fl studio i had alot of glitching in the sound, probably because my pc sucks but with ableton i loaded same vsts and even more and the sound its still perfect and by the way i dont know any of those producers, sorry. But i think that you will agree with me on how good logic is,personally i think its the best daw right in the momment
@wantedwanted21 Skream. Jay-Z. A bunch of other rap producers that I wouldn't call "good" but millions of other people probably would. Skream is dubstep though, not rap, just to clarify that I'm not saying Skream is a rap producer, heh.
@wantedwanted21 Im sorry but i tottaly disagree with you, people who talk shit about FL Studio are just lazy ass people who dont know how to use an EQ, heres another example of FL Studio (Even UMEK used samples that this guy made in FL) /watch?v=LtlrzEv7iZk
PS.:He made in FL, he is not loading drum loops as u said.
this is a crazy good song, i really liked it up until the breakdown (which was still good) but it sounded a little bit too 90's trance for my taste. I feel a slower bpm and louder claps and a stronger bass kick could push it that extra distance. don't get me wrong, this is better than i could do, but personally i would have made these changes. anyway, keep up the good work and prove me wrong.
it not jus d producer or vst its the software...if fl so gud why is it ppl change to better programs...ive seen wat fl can do and other programs can do also....fl wen it comes to wide ,phat , clean heavy mixes ...its not that gud compared to cubase, pro tools or even cakewalk....
am listening this on studio monitors..its not bad but it sounds dark still....fl is gud but if i had a better pc i wud use cubase and reason rewired....wen u use these softwares ur music is weh phatter than any fl studio mix....
@1ikon it's not the software, it's the producer/engineer. If you use the exact same vsts in fl and cubase with the exact same plugins you will acheive the same sound, sorry. I use both Cubase and FL Studio as well, so I'm not talking out of my ass.
One question agnivesh! Whenever i make a song in Fl Studio, i render it as the highest quality possible, and the sound is great, but when uploading it to youtube the quality is shit...you can try watching and hear what i mean please answer..thanks ;)

Great track! I think anyone can do good sounding music with any decent software, FL, reason, renoise, cubase, it depends on creativity, good samples and good use of effects and synths
boi-1da, afrojack, just blaze, porter robinson/ekowraith, and the list goes on. People think PROTOOLZ is the standard for PROFEZZIONALZ. It's how you use it.
Fl sounds good but when I play with mixer (M-Audio Mixer) and monitor (I use Behringer B3031A),i get my frequencies wrong. So I use Fl for making music but i rewired with abelton live for mastering and Finishing.
@Moulaslab thats because your monitor is too colorful not the daw dummy...... abelton wont help you find your frequencys any better.... get some nice monitors and say the same and then its just you
@ItAintSAFE5 you didn't understand.. when i link Analog mixer to fl studio i get my frequencies wrong.I record my music live with the mixer,i can't render it or export it.becoz Fl studio rendering supports only 44100 KHZ/16 bit output and my mixer output is 24 bit/96000khz..But with abelton i can use my mixer perfectly..thats why i use both fl and abelton. um not saying Fl is bad..I love Fl....
Well to end this discussion, If you guys knew how to master properly, then you'd notice that FL studio is just as good as any other software out there, sadly it's for PC, and more known than ibiza for example, therefor we see a lot of 12 y.o non-talented kids using it and posting videos on youtube. Which to be frankly gives a bad perspective of a tool that in a proffesionals perspective is pretty damn solid. I have been using logic pro at work for a couple of years, and I still Prefer FLS10
Also, it's not FL Studio that sounds like crap. It's the abundance of noobs who pirate it and call themselves "producers." Stop listening to crap, and your problem will be solved.
*Sigh* There is nothing wrong with the sound engine in FL Studio. It's been a non-issue for the past 4-5 years. People really need to stop being so superstitious and just use what they want to use. FL Studio is a perfectly viable DAW, if not better than some of the other big players. It's perfectly fine for mixing, and no - you shouldn't be mastering with it because it's not a tool designed for mastering.
@VividBoxMedia ive mastered in it, and the songs came out just fine. however, im using presonus studio one pro now and i track out into it. i have to disagree with you saying that its not designed for mastering. im sure others would disagree also. it has the tools, you just have to know how to use them properly, goes for all programs.
@dhump415 If you're mastering in a DAW that has only had the tools to do so for a short period of time (pointing out that the mastering in FL Studio is still too premature), then I would wonder about your music and the people who listen to it.
@VividBoxMedia Im just going to tell you like this, and Im done with it. Ive had several songs played on radio and in the club, and have received royalties as well, and non of the program directors or djs complained about the music. End of story.
FL is awesome for actually making songs/generating ideas and beats, but you should never mix and master with it for a finished product. Its way to much of a pita to get quality that is still not up to par. This sounds ok but still sounds like FL quality to me.
cool stuff man! FL is just such an awsome tool! How well something sounds depends much more on the guy mixing the stuff than on the tool he uses... I love FL too ;-)
FINALLY. I have been waiting for someone to show just how powerful fl studio really is. I am so sick and tired of people hating on fl studio musicians because the "software" is a piece of poop. More power to you man fantastic work!
WHO EVER THINKS FL STUDIO SUCKS LOOK AT: lex luger, ke on the track, 9thwonder, johnny juliano, southside on tha track, sonny digiital, etc SONGS MADE FROM FL STUDIO: rack on racks, no hands, grove st. party, drop the world, show out, round of applause, crank dat soulja boy, etc
@iesulove you could tweak the synths and sounds fl comes with to make new ones or download new ones off torrents or links that many youtube artists give. you can use these or yet again tweak for some new sounds.
if you want people to believe Fruity Loops is good, dont show off your music (Althought you're really good man!! keep up the good work!!) just tell everyone that Deadmau5 uses FL Studio. i personally dont like his music at all, but any mainstream poser that thinks they can write dubstep will surely believe you if you say that (: ima follow you on soundcloud and like your facebook! you're great man!
@TheOfficialStratos people like you have very wrong thoughts. Deadmau5 is been trained for his song with mixing n mastering. he uses external tools for mixing and mastering along with analog devices. so try changing your thoughts.
@Agniveshbaghel This is fucking brilliant! I use FL Studio, but I dont get this amazing quality, why must that be? Are you using an external ssound card or..?
@DJTikx You Have to use Asio4all drivers to get the good latency.. And also like each of your instruments and vocals to a separate tracks so you don't overload the master bus and then mix them in individually. That's all he did, and added a little automation.
@Agniveshbaghel yes but if i am right, mixing and mastering is not an actual process of track creation. And sure,... there is no artist that would not use analog devices, that would feel just a little unprofessional.
@TheOfficialStratos I like how you said "mainstream poser" and "dubstep" in the same sentence. You do realize dubstep is a commercial name for a genre that's been around for decades? Also I'll have you know, you sound like an arrogant "hipster" stereotype. If that's what you are - great. Just stay off videos that are trying to make a positive statement about an oppressed audio engineering software.
i totally agree that FL is just as good as anything else. But THIS song don't show anything about clean sound in FL, you should look up Johnny Juliano he make beats in fl studio and has THE cleanest sound ever
haha i know so many kids that say FL sucks cuz it doesn't have any sounds. But they don't know the difference between a filter and a reverb vst. And if you ask them, they never figured out anything past clicking on the samples in the drop down folders. It's really annoying to hear that, but then after my shows they're like holy shit you did that with FL!? haha
Porter Robinson uses FL Studios... just sayin. It's not about the DAW, it's about the producer. FL Studio's is really easy to learn your way around in the beginning, but if you actually get into it there is a lot you can do.
fl studio does have a darker sound trust me i have been using it for years and i switched to Cubase and the sound engine just sounds better! sorry ;-) you can clearly tell which tunes i tried to make in fl studio versus cubase, reason has sound of its own too (mpc sounding), and pro tools, its just the way it is! not a very big difference but!!!!!,
its like the mp3 verses cd quality thing from the 90s!
@micblack29 what do u mean dark sound ? it`s all about in mastering.. hah :) there is no such thing as sound engine! I`ve used fl studio, cubase , reason.. even bought PRO TOOLS and sent it back :).. and went back to FL STUDIO :).... it`s all about the taste.. you can get the same quality... it`s all about mixing the right sounds
@TheoO18 its got a low pass filter kind of sound that makes even bright drums sound a low passed, the only way 2 make things sound bright! is 2 add a boost in the high end, in reason needs a mid range boost, cubase add tops so i add a little low pass on my master via an eq, pro tools HD on the other hand just sounds nice! ;-) i used it at my old university, and it does not colour the sound in any way, don't get me wrong fl studio is good for what it is designed for, LOOPS!
@micblack29 sorry but stupid youtube characters limit, wont let me post my well written essay on the subject! ;-) grammar is be bad for this reason ;-) haha
@micblack29 I didn`t notice any difference between pro tools and fl studio (in terms of the sound quality bright vs dark) :) anyways , I think you can produce good music with any of these daws as long as you use the right tools and you know what you`re doing :)
@micblack29 no. stop it now. fl studio is designed for music production. there are tons of big name producers that use this program. pop producers, rock producers, hiphop producers...etc. stop the bullshit. its a daw. all daws do the same thing. its about what you do with them. nobody uses stock sounds.
People.. grow the f**** up. WHY argue about DAWS? Use what the f**** you want.. AND FL STUDIO HATERS: musicradar . com/tuition/tech/the-15-best-daw-software-apps-in-the-world-today-238905/1 #1 FL Studio
this is awsome, amazing, strong, clean, loud, engineeristicly good.
i'm trying to get that power but i can't. i believe fl studio can produce this sound but its not only about fl itself but also the knowledge. i'm amazed.
@deadpossum66, try downloading a different sound card, Asio4all is best, then when you have downloaded it, go to audio options on FL Studio, select it, and your audio problem is fixed. Or if that doesn't help, turn macro controls off in tools.
Hey guys, it would be great of you could check out my channel! I use FL studio too, and it would be great if you could give me your opinion! I you like my stuff, comment, rate or even subscribe! Thank you if you're even reading this! :D
i hate people that say fl studio makes bad sound quality, maybe when they used it they sucked too bad to make quality music... it's up to the user to make it sound good not the DAW
@DownFlex I know right, tons of great artists like Porter Robinson, Afrojack, Basshunter, Arty, etc. use fruity loops. it's just the people who don't know jack shit about producing that impose inferiority on this DAW and glorify ones like Cubase, Logic, and Ableton.
where'd you get those live crowd effect samples? i'm trying to look for some.

LeKayProducts 1 month ago
Also, it's not FL Studio that sounds like crap. It's the abundance of noobs who pirate it and call themselves "producers." Stop listening to crap, and your problem will be solved.
VividBoxMedia 1 month ago
*Sigh* There is nothing wrong with the sound engine in FL Studio. It's been a non-issue for the past 4-5 years. People really need to stop being so superstitious and just use what they want to use. FL Studio is a perfectly viable DAW, if not better than some of the other big players. It's perfectly fine for mixing, and no - you shouldn't be mastering with it because it's not a tool designed for mastering.
VividBoxMedia 1 month ago
@VividBoxMedia ive mastered in it, and the songs came out just fine. however, im using presonus studio one pro now and i track out into it. i have to disagree with you saying that its not designed for mastering. im sure others would disagree also. it has the tools, you just have to know how to use them properly, goes for all programs.
dhump415 1 month ago
@dhump415 If you're mastering in a DAW that has only had the tools to do so for a short period of time (pointing out that the mastering in FL Studio is still too premature), then I would wonder about your music and the people who listen to it.
VividBoxMedia 1 month ago

TheOfficialStratos 2 months ago
@TheOfficialStratos people like you have very wrong thoughts. Deadmau5 is been trained for his song with mixing n mastering. he uses external tools for mixing and mastering along with analog devices. so try changing your thoughts.

@Agniveshbaghel i did not know that, thanks for the advice man(: Merry christmas

DjLaikal 1 month ago
@Agniveshbaghel This is fucking brilliant! I use FL Studio, but I dont get this amazing quality, why must that be? Are you using an external ssound card or..?
DJTikx 1 month ago
@DJTikx You Have to use Asio4all drivers to get the good latency.. And also like each of your instruments and vocals to a separate tracks so you don't overload the master bus and then mix them in individually. That's all he did, and added a little automation.
JamarConley 1 month ago

@PrizePirate No idea what the arguments about but I just thought I'd point out Dubsteps only been around just over a decade

i totally agree that FL is just as good as anything else. But THIS song don't show anything about clean sound in FL, you should look up Johnny Juliano he make beats in fl studio and has THE cleanest sound ever
MusicByRyder 2 months ago
haha i know so many kids that say FL sucks cuz it doesn't have any sounds. But they don't know the difference between a filter and a reverb vst. And if you ask them, they never figured out anything past clicking on the samples in the drop down folders. It's really annoying to hear that, but then after my shows they're like holy shit you did that with FL!? haha
c32linder 2 months ago
Porter Robinson uses FL Studios... just sayin. It's not about the DAW, it's about the producer. FL Studio's is really easy to learn your way around in the beginning, but if you actually get into it there is a lot you can do.

MRCONCEITEDDOTCOM 2 months ago
fl studio does have a darker sound trust me i have been using it for years and i switched to Cubase and the sound engine just sounds better! sorry ;-) you can clearly tell which tunes i tried to make in fl studio versus cubase, reason has sound of its own too (mpc sounding), and pro tools, its just the way it is! not a very big difference but!!!!!,
its like the mp3 verses cd quality thing from the 90s!
micblack29 2 months ago
@micblack29 what do u mean dark sound ? it`s all about in mastering.. hah :) there is no such thing as sound engine! I`ve used fl studio, cubase , reason.. even bought PRO TOOLS and sent it back :).. and went back to FL STUDIO :).... it`s all about the taste.. you can get the same quality... it`s all about mixing the right sounds
TheoO18 2 months ago
@TheoO18 its got a low pass filter kind of sound that makes even bright drums sound a low passed, the only way 2 make things sound bright! is 2 add a boost in the high end, in reason needs a mid range boost, cubase add tops so i add a little low pass on my master via an eq, pro tools HD on the other hand just sounds nice! ;-) i used it at my old university, and it does not colour the sound in any way, don't get me wrong fl studio is good for what it is designed for, LOOPS!
micblack29 2 months ago
@micblack29 sorry but stupid youtube characters limit, wont let me post my well written essay on the subject! ;-) grammar is be bad for this reason ;-) haha
micblack29 2 months ago
@micblack29 I didn`t notice any difference between pro tools and fl studio (in terms of the sound quality bright vs dark) :) anyways , I think you can produce good music with any of these daws as long as you use the right tools and you know what you`re doing :)
TheoO18 2 months ago
@micblack29 no. stop it now. fl studio is designed for music production. there are tons of big name producers that use this program. pop producers, rock producers, hiphop producers...etc. stop the bullshit. its a daw. all daws do the same thing. its about what you do with them. nobody uses stock sounds.

was there any effects on your master??
CamWa11 2 months ago
@deadpossum66, try downloading a different sound card, Asio4all is best, then when you have downloaded it, go to audio options on FL Studio, select it, and your audio problem is fixed. Or if that doesn't help, turn macro controls off in tools.
