I swear Toho is teasing me with Rebirth of Mothra III. I've only seen it once a long time ago when it aired on television. I have I and II, but the one I really want is III, but it was never released in any form in the US. Mothra is a defender of the life upon the earth. Battra is a defender of the earth itself. That's where the conflict comes from. In the past, the Cosmos were so advanced that they created a system that bent the earth's climate to their will. Battra wasn't happy, so he attacked. Mothra defended the Cosmos, but in the end the Cosmos were wiped out and the two defenders defeated each other and returned to rest until needed.

The other big difference from the original is there being no moth Mothra from the get-go and any larvae being the ones to stop Godzilla.

That sort of pissed me off at that age. this by far my most favorite godzilla film and my most favorite form of mothra , with eternal mothra leo in 2nd place. yeah mothra leo is the ONLY male mothra in the entire species. this movie I also know had the most awards won during the heisei series. on a small note , the japanese posters duirng the heisei series alwasy fascinates me since its always a real joy just to look at. now if us americans can get more posters to look like that , or possinly in the next film , then I'll be impressed.

@MegaJohnny99 Hehe.. Not so fast, that's all it takes. A lot of Japanese actually know English, more so then you'd probably believe. They probably have the idea already. Chances are, they are working on some sort of all out battle. As much as they bring Godzilla into (All Out Battles), they'll probably bring him in too. They've had Godzilla go both ways, at the same time as Mothra as well. I have saw Mothra and Godzilla join forces already.

@MegaJohnny99 well if mothra had ALL her powers, it would be no contest. in fact any of toho's monsters could wipe the floor with King kong, with the exception of minya and manda. but i dont know alot about manda. but of course thats just my opinion, one thing to keep in mind though is that KK was Enlarged severely in that flick. godzilla is 500 feet tall while KK is only 50. . . .yaaaaaaa, imagine a big brother beating up his much younger sibling. lol

@codybratsch I could almost talk for them on this one. I believe it's demand and (Fandom) which ended up bringing Mothra into her own movies. Rodan I cant seem to remember for sure. Is he the one which resembles the one Digimon a little? The three headed beast, or a few others, would probably be their first choice.

Roden is neat, don't get me wrong. But more (Godzilla) is what they'll probably do first. Mothra second, then if they feel like it, they'll do something with King Kong.
