  • @hushllen por favor english porque nosotros comprehende. feom everysingle person who.was like wtf when they saw your comment. and ....you.probably.dont understand one word im saying right now......

  • 似てるといえば似てるけど

    音程もビートも同じで12音から音を組み合わせていく上ではこうなるのかなとも思う。

    パクリだと言われれば仕方ないかな。

    にしても、この音楽すぎだな☆

  • Douche video, haters gonna hate

  • Hard to prove that the finnish guy didn't actually steal it off him, as alot of the time songs are passed around the industry for years before being released. You'd want to be pretty sure about the facts before making a claim like this, as you may also be aware that defamation is also against the law.

  • @NtrangMusic The shit are you talking about? He made it years ago. Not like fucking year before this timbaland stole it.

  • @gongal I'm sorry, is that English..... I didn't quite understand what you are trying to say. Anyway, international law allows samples of melodies up to a certain time, so if the basic melody loops as is normal, it would make any difference. oh, plus, who cares!

  • @NtrangMusic

He didn't just steal 1 or 2 bars from Sunni's song. He ripped TEN bars. I highly doubt that is covered under fair use laws. Could you imagine the repercussions if an indie artist used 10 bars of a Universal Studios production in his work and then made money off of it?

  • are you a fucken retard????? he took a sample and completly changed it. you have no knowladge of how to make a beat, dont speak on somthing u have no knowladge in,

  • @MrDoctereamz He took a sample and completely changed?. Do you even understand the definition of a sample? A sample is taking a piece, or using multiple samples to produce a complete piece. He took the ENTIRE "sample" as you call it in this instance and used it without permission!.

No knowledge in?, are you fucking serious, just what the fuck you, you disrespectful little shit!.

  • @blade004 u must be studpid, hes a producer its what we do, i can show u a million hiphop tracks were the sample just keeps replaying, thats how u make a beat. lmao 75% of beats are made like this, you have no knowladge , and laws dont maatter after u samlpe! THIS IS HIPHOP!

  • @MrDoctereamz You're correct. He's just saying that Timbaland didn't ask permission to use the sample. The methodology he used for making the beat was fine, and it's a great beat, and a great song overall, but he should've paid some money to the original composer too, and credited her in Nelly Furtado's album booklet as a co-producer.

You're correct that sampling is a fundamental part of hip hop, and that beats are repetitive normally, but unless it's for a mixtape, it needs to be legal.

  • @SuperSukot your rong if u take a song and sample it you have full writes to that beat, thats like sayen if u put a sea shell on a canvas you drew on, you need to pay that beach, no. beat making is a art,

  • @SuperSukot "Thank you" for clarifying my point with MrDoctereamz, hopefully he will understand it ;).

  • @MrDoctereamz Has the explanation from SuperSukot and the top 2 comments on this video made this clear?.

  • @MrDoctereamz Oh that explains it, you're an American idiot.

  • @OBSysteme I will recant the genius comment he is not a genius for the sampling. He is however one heck of a "crate digger" and in hip-hop that's quite an achievement. Even still he worked his magic on the track. Ultimately Timbo and Danja have created many original songs that have been multiplatnum hits. So he samples a game, so what? Surely you can hear the nuances he added.

  • Sad to Say, but by and large, people don't care because most people in this world have never tried to create anything. they will be quite content getting wasted in a club and dance to the timbalame version. People steal when they get the chance to do so wihout getting caught, That is the prevailing culture on this planet, this sorry place.

  • why do people try so hard to mug people off, tim probs did remix the track but who dont? hes made hundreds more that he wasnt INSPIRED BY! and do you really think that he thought no one would notice. use your brain its there for a reason.

  • @gijoeproducer Let me make this clear for the brain you apparently say you use. "No Permission", "No Credit to the original artist", "Took the whole tune".

Do you get it dumb dumb, who's next for whom has not read or listened to anything!?

  • @blade004 no need to insult over opinions blade. lol i hate to break the news to ya but making beats is not all thats involed in music production! and i think youl find that it isnt sampled its remixed or remade! shame on him if he didnt have permision but his tracks sell big time worldwide so im sure hes not stupid enough to try n get away with breach copywrite and you would hear bout it if he did! after all americans love to sue people.

  • @gijoeproducer I know that making beats is not all that's involved but i think you can understand my point and that of many others, i am not saying that the Timbaland version is an exact replica in every way shape and form, there has to be changes otherwise it will just sound "completely" like it came from a 6581 SID Chip.

And no he is not stupid enough to make that mistake of breach of copy write but he is "arrogant" and disrespectful enough to attempt it.

  • @gijoeproducer Men for whom lack integrity always do such things, it's part of their nature. And yes, Americans do love to sue people, but the guy who made the original track was not American but if the tables were flipped then Timbaland would have sued Janne Suni due to the fact that "Timbaland" is American.

  • @gijoeproducer I shall take heed in your point regarding the insults i made, you are correct ;). It's just that this video was put up 4 years ago and people are still repeating the same old arguments over and over and again in "complete" support of Timbaland. I hadn't seen this for couple of years and had wondered how the whole thing went so i came back to check on any updates in the comments between Timbaland & Janne only to find that idiocy was still prevalent.

  • stolen or not, without timbaland i had never heard that song...

  • Timbaland is genius for sampling this. He made it come to life. Even still he should pay for it and probably has by now.

  • @chestveeg he is not a genius, for copying an entire melody created by another person. You have weird logics man!

  • CHECK OUT THE JOLLEY BROTHERS ON YOUTUBE THEYRe WHITE TWIN CLUB RAPPERS FROM VA JolleyBrothers_elevator and also check out their other song GLOWSTICKS AND CANDY awesome dance music

  • lol this doesnt really bother me, cus nellys song ws really wel done. nothing wrong wit a bita inspiration.

  • @Frankii3 Do you know what's going on? I wonder whether you even have a brain.

  • That bass line is close but not the same. Very close.

  • @Dee9158 the bassline is a bit diffrent but yet the main melody is the sampl :D the arpegio is sampled

  • Their both rubbish so who cares

  • i know for a fact timbaland wasn't the first or last to do such things. "exposing" them on youtube wont really do anything to stop it, either.

  • Wow

  • Looks like there are a lot of brainless creatures do not know what a serious crime plagiarism is. Get some proper university-level education and you will know what an appalling crime plagiarism actually is.

  • In the fifties, every song was basically the same chord progression. Plus, he got it from a stupid video game. Who cares. The guy from Finland shouldn't be upset either. It's not like it took him more than 5 minutes to make that song and Timbaland took it to a more successful place than it ever would have gone. It's not some genius Mozart piece. Timbaland found something quick that sounded cool and he used it. That's all to it.

  • @Polardisco You/'re a dumb fuck. Have you not noticed RIAA suing people for millions of dollars because they download just 2 or 3 songs? Stealing IS a serious foffense you stupdi ,lktlte asssqwip0e

    .

  • It's the nature of the music. As long as there's house, electronica and hip hop there will be sampling. If you dont want sampling, go listen to David Bowie.

  • such a SIMPLE melody stolen? oh my god...musik repeats itselfs.

Dont get me wrong: I dont like timbalands music much, but even me could create such a riff oO

  • @Schafeo its not a simple melody, you dont hear it everyday, it was in one song, and timbaland chose to steal it.

  • Hahaha! Well done C64!

The SID version is soo much superior to the Timbaland version.

    Sorry little girl...

  • So genius that Timbaland even picked this up. But ya go on and pay for the thing man.

  • From his own explanation or reasoning doesn't he imply his music is free to copy?

  • Of course he stole it! He's just a typical nig that got over on somebodies else's creation by thieving. He ain't the only one either but it's going to catch up on all these mother fu*kers and I can't wait. Get some talent, learn to play an instrument and make your own damn music nigga's.

  • @elgringoirish who are nigs, and why are so mad man. Calm down

  • Dont see a date dude....

  • I wouldnt call it a steal but Id call it more like he "sampled the whole song"

  • timbaland is just a fucking nigger

  • @commodore64fan im black and I lold

  • Comment removed

  • butfuc

  • @51 seconds.... The original melody is definitely in there.... it's not a rip... It's a sample which I'm sure he had to pay for. But... The original sample is for sure under there which some new synths and drums layered over it

  • @disnukka79

Had Timbaland chosen to compensate Janne Sunni or even asked permission, then this would be legitimate sampling. However, he neither paid nor asked permission to use it in this case. He passed off the entire song as his own. That's what makes it stealing.

  • Sounds like the original guy fro. Finland ripped off the music from a nintendo game I had from the 80's

  • ever heard of sampling?? dumbass.

  • @GetThatDoughBoy81 Sampling requires permission too!

  • @GetThatDoughBoy81 yeah, have you? that shit's not sampling, that's ripping

  • @GetThatDoughBoy81 get real, sampling a whole melody is no longer "sampling per say" you are no longer creating anything, you are taking a guy'S composition and saying you composed that malody...

why would you even defend this?

have you ever created something, music or other? I suspect not, because how come you don't understand the gravity of what is shown here, by a multi-million dollar outfit....

this is so crass its incredible.

  • lol fuck u dumbass muffuckas ill sample watever the fck i want

  • You flamers are stupid. Do you know how many songs there are? Billions maybe trillions. So this isn't a big deal. Why don't you go after the 100+ artists who use the same four piano cords?

  • @MartyG12321

He just copied the entire song, he didnt some made it on piano. He stolen from other artist. Its not a coincidence.

  • And how do u know timberland didnt get intouch with this finish artist and ask permission first? u dont, and thats probably what he did. his record lable wudnt release it if it wasnt confirmed for use.

  • @KingsProductions20 Timbaland did not. Sunni repeated this many times. There's video of TImbaland admitting that he did take Sunni's music and then laughs about it. What a fucking dick you are Timbaland. GO FUCK YOURSELF TIMBALAND!!!

  • @KingsProductions20

No he didnt asked. He finish guy sued him. Also the guy that made the original song (this song that timbaland stoled is a cover of other song).

  • @timbalandrips who gives a fuck you bum ass loser.

  • lets be honest he figured fuck it who listens to finnish music in the us

  • @BGP803 >>>"lets be honest he figured fuck it who listens to finnish music in the us"

    .

What Timbaland actually said in his interview: It's just some stupid videogame. Who cares? Apparently he does not realize videogames and their songs carry the same Copyright as any other creative work. What the Finn musicians should do is hire RIAA to go after Timbaland and sue him $150,000 for each unauthorized song sold (copyright infringement) under the DMCA

    .

  • You can call it sampling all you like, if it was without the originators consent, its stealing.

  • Sampling and stealing are diff...

  • Buena evidencia, lobos entre ovejas .. siempre los hay, aun en la familia.

  • this is such a typical melody anyway... you could say that he stole it... but it's not like the melody is anything special, this chord progression has been used so many times over... and the beat isn't anything special... but seeing as timbaland is an rnb/pop whatever artist... i wouldn't put it past him...

  • @EvanHGough

Even if its acommon melody, you see that he didnt just somehow came with the same melody while composing the song, he got the exact sound from other guy and used it.

  • hahaha its not a TOTAL rip-off so who cares

  • Who gives a fuck?

  • @Bryshan22

The original author of the song gives a fuck.

  • hey guys want a real producer?!

Scott storch, Khalil Dre. these are the basics of hip hop.

thats where my motivation came from.

timbaland is a good remaker. and a damn good mainstream figure and manager. but a bad producer

  • @KillaTronMusic

'He' doesn't do 'what he does'. He has a team of 'apprentices', such as Danja. Sexyback, The Way I Are, Say it Right, Give it to Me - all Danja. Timbo just says "yeeh, that be fly" and hands in the finished work.

Then he poses for the music video and acts talented. Yes, I think I could do that. If I could live with myself, that is.

  • @AnitaCock two wrongs don't make a right. Unless you're black, I guess.

  • BTW, cause i forgot to mention it, but Elvis wasn't the 1st to record 'Hound Dog'; it was originally done by blacks.

  • since when did people own music notes?

  • @BuckMarley go look at a record or cd.. it states re-use of the RECORDING is prohibited.. as much as the (C) copyright did not belong to him on the sid tunes.. heck he couldn't even compose a decent sid tune.. so had to takes others work..

  • LOL he also ripped from a turkish singer :)

  • is there an original song of timbaland at all? arabic, finnish, indian, turkish and many other beats just stolen!!

  • Thank you

Thanks to you i discovered the song "Do it"

  • only an extremley uncreative defeatist would say you can't create a new sound without sampling....aka Timbaland

  • there not even the same, you must have a good ear to hear that from that horrible 'original' auto tuned mess,Timberland is good at creating music and thats final.

  • Like this if you prefer Timbaland's version.

  • Its called sampling you twats

  • @hustletv Not when the one who supposedly sampled the song doesn't give credit for the original composer, and then insult him. Also, shut the fuck up, because you seem to not know anything about sampling. You don't call taking a tune, and put it on a different track, as it is, sampling.

  • @hustletv yes, it's sampling. and there's an etiquette involved (ask permission, negotiate terms, potentially receive permission) which has been bypassed by Timbaland and Geffen. The same rules apply no matter the musical source.

  • I just downloaded "do it" by Timbaland a thousand times. Serves him right, that fat pompous prick.

  • So what? So many artists use melodies and beats from other songs now because practically everything has been done. Lil Wayne, jason derulo to name a couple.

  • I think it's ok to take someone else's idea for your own music if you give them the credit that's called sampling, but if you're making money out of it and they're not getting anything then that's when it becomes wrong.

  • Timbou got good ears. Though stealin is not o.k. Then again everybody does it on some level, but this one is a litle too obvious. Shame on u Tim for makin a good song even better ;)

So the finish kid got no compensation no recognition no nothing... In that case ill have to say Tim is an AssHole!

  • OMG C64 copies music from Nelly Furtado? o.O

  • I think they both sound bad, but if he took the idea and didnt get permission then that is wrong on so many levels. On the other hand it kind of sounds like one of the preset beats that any keyboard comes with out of the store, I didnt see anything special about this beat.

  • Every artist uses samples, this video is bullshit, your so proud that you find his sample?

  • Producing has nothing to do with making beats or even composing, its just about the ptoduction of sound and the over all music project recording. and EVERYONE samples lol...I just call this being creative and inspired off other music... he takes the the time to find the inspiration.

  • Producing has nothing to do with making beats or even composing, its just about the ptoduction of sound and the over all music project recording. and EVERYONE samples lol...I just call this being creative and inspired off other music... he takes the the time to find the inspiration.

  • @k2peak360 not just anyone can hire a popular singer. THAT'S the difference. Not talent - money. Favours. Anyone can do it - but only if they convince a rich person to pay a few hundred grand for a vocalist name that'll sell.

  • In the words of Jay-Z " I heard MF's sayin they made Hov, made Have say Ok so, make another Hov". In another words if you think Tim has no talent and just steals music and has become Rich and Famous without really doing anything. Quit your job

and do it too, and don't tell me that you don't wanna be rich and famous

  • everyone knows Timbaland samples other people's music, why should it matter? He does a good job with them at the end of the day.

  • 2 things here :1) Timbaland's version is better (and it's the same sh!t) and 2) Where have you been, when was this new?

But good job finding it - it's cool when u find the origin of a song.

  • Timbaland is a fucking fraud

  • there are 7 notes guys

  • sampling? in the end nothing to do with sampling totall rip of period

  • OMG i can clearly tell that you ppl dont have any clue about sampling.

  • @Fat07 OMG I can clearly tell that you don't have any clue about copyright and copying audio.

  • @bjcsupertortoise Funny cuz Timbaland said that the sound is from a video game. And that they didnt have any copyrights over anything so he just used it. And i know about copyrights and sampling.....ie producer here myself.

  • @Fat07 Well yes, you probably do know about copyright, but 'us ppl' do, then, have a clue about sampling. What Timbaland has said does not make it right or, as may be relevant, legal. He might have said that they didn't have copyright but that doesn't mean that they didn't. He also said much other rubbish which included insults to the original composer.

  • @bjcsupertortoise So when YOU are in a lawsuit, you're gonna be the nicest person to the one suing you.

  • @Fat07 You didn't address the main point, but I'll answer regardless.

First of all, I would not be in a lawsuit because I wouldn't steal someone's music. If I was taken to court for something I didn't do I might get angry, but Timbaland must have known that he would not be sued so there was no reason for him to insult the person who caused him to earn money. I am also sure that the reason he insulted the composer was not because he was angry but because he is the kind of person who does that.

  • @bjcsupertortoise Y the big commotion.....if it was anyone else thats not on Timbaland's caliber, none of this would be going on. And like Timbaland said, who are they? Plus the sound is from a video game......not that artist. That artist suing Timbaland doesnt have any grounds to sue if they both used the same sample from a video game.

  • @Fat07 'Big commotion'?!?! I was just saying that you were wrong about saying that we all know nothing about sampling. I really don't see how you can think that what we are saying makes us not know about sampling. The video game would have been copyrighted and even if it wasn't the remix would have been copyrighted including composition. It doesn't matter who is more successful, saying "who are they?" is just an insult from Timbaland.

  • @Fat07 [continued from my last comment]

Anyway, YouTube debates are always very dodgy compared to what it would be like in real life, people can't see what the other people mean properly and probably judge the other person wrongly... I think it makes sense when you think about it – when people disagree in your mind you might be thinking "what a _!" but so will they be too. People will always disagree especially on the Internet, soo

    Have a nice day :D

(Just my ramblings, nothing to do with you)

  • I don't mind people using samples as long as they give credit, however in one of the statements that Timbaland made addressing this matter is calling the original artist an idiot and a jerk. Really? You used someone else's work without giving credit and then you go and insult them? That is low Timbaland.

  • the whole hiphop industry is based on sampling and "stealing". GET OVE IT!!

  • @tomaskrejci

Stealing is stealing. You don't deserve to be in the music industry if you steal music and put it in your own songs.

It's worse than piracy, because you're selling it. Fuck off.

  • @tomaskrejci

Sampling, yes it is prominent. Its fine as long as the original artists are rightfully credited. 'Stealing'? I seriously doubt hiphop has a legacy for stealing. I cant imagine how so many artists could have gotten away with it in this day and age. The righteous, professional hiphop music producers on the scene (those who sample and give credit) may not approve of your comment. Not picking any feuds, just giving a clean discussion.

  • In all honesty.. Who gives a fuck?

    The fans dont care

    The radio stations dont care

    Amazon.com doesnt care

    MTV doesnt care

    The labels dont care

Sure as hell Timbaland dont care, he just makes a hot beat.

So yeah.. get a day job and stop whining

  • @blaatgvd he need 2 he could at least given the original dude credit and it woulda resolved dis shit

  • He is a THIEF! From wikipedia: Today, most mainstream artists obtain prior authorization to use samples, a process known as "clearing" by gaining permission to use the sample and, usually, paying an up-front fee and/or a cut of the royalties to the original artist. Unfortunately, independent bands, lacking the funds and legal assistance to clear samples, are at a disadvantage unless they seek the services of a professional sample replay company or producer.

  • I wasn't convinced until both songs were played at once...

Was the original song from a video game? It sounds like a MIDI file.

  • It's called sampleing you fucks -.- it was off a videogame, a 16 bit sound recording like from a gameboy.

  • @Ashe1031 This isn't sampling, it's plagiarising. Sampling is given credit and, usually, compensation. It's more like a collaboration. Timbaland is presenting this as his own music - in effect stealing it. It's completely wrong.

  • @NinjaSaucez No, he heard it on a video game, which i bet you $100 had nothing to state the original composer of this song. Rap artists take what they hear and put it into songs with litle thins here and there. He liked this, so he recomposed it, instead of just putting the original crappy sound quality into a song. Happens all the time, get over it.

  • @Ashe1031 Bitch you stupid.

It's a chiptune. Composed by an artist. He didn't recompose it, I can still hear a bit of the square hits when the video poster puts on selective EQ.

Timbaland doesn't know how to make music and rips it off. Has happened before, will continue to happen, tl;dr shut the fuck up and stop arguing against it.

P.S: It sounds like a straight up SID tune, and I can probably find the original SID file for you if you want to keep this going, tough guy.

  • @Metroid225 Um, first of all im not a bitch -.- And by recomposed i mean put new instruments into it. I know he took it from a video game, i said that, i know that. Either way, who gives a flying fuck in a chimp headed unicorn's ass? IT'S NOT YOUR PROBLEM. "OMG he totally stolded a 16 bit sound and put it into a song" STFU, the ONLY reason that finnish dude came after him is because the song got big and he wanted some money. If it would have never become a hit, finnish dude woulda stayed home.

  • @Ashe1031 Bitch, you still stupid.

He didn't bother to put even new instruments to it. He didn't take it from a videogame. In fact, here's the original tracker module that he composed.

    modarchive (DOT) org/index (DOT) php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=66334

Next time, do some research you stupid fucking newfag.

  • @Metroid225 Go masturbate in a pool of your own tears you fucking whiny pussy, quit cursing at me because you have no life and are currently in your Mom's basement and are working at mcdonalds at the age of 43. Fucking dick muncher, go whine to someone who gives a fuck please.

PS. go fuck yourself because its the only thing you're good at.

  • @Ashe1031 No creative comment, no actual argument, in fact, 10 year old mentality.

    NIGGA I AIN'T EVEN MAD.

    YOU MAD.

    WHY YOU SO MAD.

  • @Metroid225 BECAUSE I LOVE YOU

  • @Metroid225 I think Timbaland did a favor to this "sound pollution" that is the "original". Nelly's "Do it" is way better than the crap of the Finish "ARTIST"...

  • @nikgml Die in a fire. Finnish artist = better.

Shut the fuck up and get the fuck out you ripoff fag.

'Do it' is sound pollution. Now get the fuck out before I bulldoze over your house with a SID.

  • @Metroid225 I'll get out when I decide to!.. got it PC Braveheart?

  • @nikgml I'm giving you advice.

You realize that you're just making a fool of yourself like an idiotic American or a lowly teenager.

Look at the comments. Nobody else except for one person says this is a legit piece of work. They all agree that Timbaland ripped the shit off of the guy and Timbaland sucks.

Deal with it. It's the internet. I'm here to make you stop being an idiot. You don't like it, jump off a cliff.

And don't you dare tell me what you think you'll do, because you don't know.

  • @Ashe1031 but how would u feel as the guy who made the original beat and aint get no credit u would want your money too

  • GUILTY!!

  • The new song's worse.

  • so im guessing none of you ever heard of sampling..lmao

  • @jamil908 i guess it all depends on who's listening..but you cant blame the guy just because the general public has never heard of the song he sampled..but if he didnt pay for the sample or get it cleared then that is stealing!

  • @jamil908

Not sampling if you take the melody, beat AND bass.

  • Timbaland is a dick.

  • Comment removed

  • So what happen? Did the finnish guy get some money or something?

    please reply if you know

  • @FCule The finish musician threatened to take the icident to court, but rumors says that team Timbaland paid the finish guy quiet since he nowdays refuses to comment the case.

  • Stop trashing Timbaland. obvious;ly he has ripped it and is making bank off the song. Think about it..I really dont think timbaland and Nelly Furtado would of re-created this tune if they were going to get in trouble. In music there is such a thing as royalties! Everybody takes pieces from eachother..its called LIFE. While you waste your time trashing artists, you could of been using your time for progress in your own craft! Get with it!

  • This is called sampling and whole hip-hop is full of samples.

  • @artixxbeatz There's a difference between sampling and totally ripping a song.
