Such a soft sound of the instruments makes you feel like riding through an empty space without any point. I got into this sort of the tunnel and I don't want to get out!!!
I think the main reason songs like this one here (by Bruce) are underrated because the greatest songs by him are so god damn good that people tend to overlook these amazing songs that just don't appeal them the same way as his "greatest hits".
If this would have been done by someone else it could have been their greatest hit and gotten played on the radio etc. more frequently, also as a "classic" nowadays.
This song is wonderful and severely underrated which is also the case for the whole Tunnel of Love album, still I think the masterpieces in the album are Brilliant Disguise and Tougher than the rest
I looked into his many Greatest Hits Albums and even the 3CD compilation and this song isn't included! This is my top 3 favorite songs of him. I could listen to the 3:40 - 4:20 in a loop for quite a while before I'd tire of it.
Hey everyone welcome to my channel. this is Dreamcatcher your friendly neighbor hows it going? mind taking a Moment to browse and comment on my channel? :D have a great week best regards peace and hugs x
I love this song and I really love the part after the solo from 3:40 to 4:12. I could listen to that part in repeat mode for 10's of minutes and end it with the rest that comes after 4:12.
I think all of us has been in this position at one point in our lives, old or young, sometimes it worked out, sometimes not... this song is timeless either way.
This is the Boss at his best ... watching him sing even if volume is on mute makes you sure that this guy was born to be a legend ... there is so much energy and talent bursting out of him!!
reminds me of the old days in the 70's hanging at the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ with my DAD, and Gramma ! - (R.I.P. - dad and gramma, I hope you are watching and listening !!!)
Its interesting, after Born in the USA... Bruce's work didnt get the commercial or critical acclaim that it deserved... but everything he released since has been just as good as that awe inspiring album... Bruce.... when you gonna do some more songs for the peeps???
@easton1337 As Bruce said in the song .. " you have to learn to live with, what we can't rise above".... translation: Get up and Stand up and move on and if you can't, then Shut the hell up, it's your bed, you made it, so lie in it. Sad truth, but that's the boss, who am I to say, in such a truth?.
Like the smart outfit.
