The pianist can tell you if the piece is written in 3/4 or 6/8 timing. It wasn't tango which is 2/4 timing, and had a valz feeling. One of the strangest performances I've ever seen from a tango festival.

@Jantango it is a tango vals.
But even if it wasn't (I am an amateur dancer not a musician), from nuevo perspective, a good dancer can dance everything. Was it bad what you saw?
