Her mature voice made her an overnight sensation, as well as the youngest female vocalist to top the charts in the UK, her music is still loved around the world.
I agree Helens 60's voice IS different from later years. Some voices are exactly the same no matter what age they are, Karen Carpenter for one. I love all of Helens material.
I don't know what it is, but her voice is different then the 60's. Have heard several from the 70's and I acually like it better. Still love them all!
She's still around. I think she semi-retired only recently. Having sung with Humphrey Lyttelton's band and her own band, up until fairly recently, doing jazz and gospel as well as her pop hits.
An OK song - not one of my favourites. Seems a bit laboured and doesn't flow. One of several poor songs Helen was given to record in the leaner years.

Question!
Who's original is this? Because The Foundations play it too.

So glad she is a beleiver. Wonder how come she didn't end up with Cliff Richard since they all work closely for the same record company.

Actually.... it's quite catchy.
Kept "hearing" it in bed last night, so listened again now.
Good on ya Helen!
