Loved your video. I have a little one (not so little but hey) so I can relate to you trying to make a video and keeping your child from tearing down the house. LOL. Curious: how is the Nyle shampoo working out for you?
I have just begun my hair growth journey. I went to the indian grocers and bought the Vatki coconut oil and some henna. Have you tried the ayurvedic shampoo bars? I was thinking of trying one. My twists are just above shoulder length but I see your hair is very long and it longs very healthy.
hi i'am new to ya video's and i would like to know the order u use everything in. lol if it's not to much to ask, i'm just trying to find and good shampoo& cond. that's going to help my hair grow more. thank's
@Starrwig I am on the summer hair routine right now. I cowash with Herbal Essences Hello Hydration. Then I apply whatever oil of the week I am using (this week it is Sunflower oil) then some Mane and Tail conditioner. I always use a condish, a styling product (mane and tale), then add the oil to seal! My hair looks 100 times better now than what it does in that video. It seems like the simple routine works best in the summer!
haha! The Amla oil looks like Soy sauce lol...ur daughter is so cute...........or......??? Sounds cute! She's sayin "mama i wanna b a youtube start too!" lol
Girl, I bought three bottles of that Amla oil. Come to find out, the first ingredient is liquid paraffineum. That's mineral oil! I had to toss it in the trash :(
I loved the Amla oil. My husband said my head smelled like an old urinal! I am not sure if it was the henna or the amla that that has caused new hair to sprout from the roots. I have about 2 inches of fuzz near the scalp. It is so thick in there now! How has the powder been for you?
No he didn't say that! lol. Not just any urinal, it had to be an OLD one. The Amla power does a pretty good job of conditioning, but tI heard that Amla oil was the bomb....well, it made my hair feel and appear that way.
I haven't tried doing the henna thing yet. I have four boxes of it stashed away, waiting until I can find some indigo to mix with it. Have you ever tried the cassia for conditioning?
@GetTheLook2010 Oh yes he did too! I was twisting my hair today and he says "Oh wow, none of the pee oil tonight?" All I can do is laugh. He does not know anything about black womens hair care. I have not came across any cassia at the indian grocery. I bought out the henna when I went in there yesterday. I need to do some research on the cassia.
What does the castile soap do? How is it to be used? Can it be mixed with other natural ingredients such as coconut meat, avocados, herbs, hydrosols, etc?
@NewMamaOnTheBlock The Dr. Bronner's Castile soap is a soap that has very little ingredients and does not have SLS or "cones" in it. A little goes a long way. It has to be diluted when you use it or it can be drying on both the skin and the hair. I really love it though. Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap works wonders when you have a cold and inhale the peppermint aroma. It leaves you tingly and your scalp tingly.
Please discuss some raw foods that are good for hair growth, my sister and I just started doing raw foods so that really would be very helpful!! I love your hair:) Just subscribed!
Thank you! I have a video that I am trying to post about raw foods. Honestly, I have found that just being raw makes my hair ultra healthy. It is true that you are what you eat! Try to find some shelled edamame (soybeans). It is the only vegetable that offers a compete protein. Edamame is not raw (I will get into eating certain none raw foods in the video). Thank you for subscribing!
Thank you! I am trying not to cut it because I am scissor happy. I was thinking about discussing some raw foods that are good for hair growth but I think I might wait.
i went natural with my hair about 2 years ago and it has inspired me to try to transition to a more natural lifestyle overall. your screen name alone made me look up your videos. i look forward to seeing your progress in your hair journey. btw, you have beautiful hair! :)
