This song is brilliant! Is this a cover? If it isn't, did they ever record it, I assume it's on the joining a fan club box set, which I haven't got. Roger and Andy need to get together again.
Wow! I "stumbled" onto Jellyfish after hearing "That is Why" and " The King is Half undressed." Clearly great musicians, songwriters. Why did they break up anyway?
The whole band was kind of just a fluke, 2 brothers a friend and a guitarist who wanted to be a rocker. He left first, soon after one brother and bassist Chris Manning left to produce and do his own thing musically, they found two replacements and put out a second album, called Spilt Milk-which is also wonderful-but it didn't do very well and that was it. Keyboardist Roger Manning and Singer/drummer Andy Sturmer continue to make music, you can check out their Myspace pages.
man this brings back some memories. i saw this band about 6 times over the course of their (way too short) career. unbelievable band both live and recorded.
first time was on the beach in galveston, tx right after bellybutton. then i saw them a few more times in houston, austin, and new orleans. pretty much every time they came to the area.
