where i live if a child is born alive they have to report it to the authorities which then take over and give that child a chance to live rather the parents want the child or not the hospital will adopt them out if they survive an abortion....it's sad the state has to take control of ones child and make sure it has its rights too....

Now the mother wants to make it rich after she went in there to murder her child and it just didn't die when she wanted it to. In Germany we do everything to help survive a baby born in 5th month with 500 g weight. But in America they kill babies in the 7th month... I can´t understand this!

All the more reason to keep abortion safe and regulated. This girl obviously thought the people performing her abortion were qualified. There are women in other countries where abortion is ILLEGAL and they SELF ABORT. So keeping abortion legal means it keeps it safe for the women who need them.

Trust me I know coz I made the CHOICE to have my baby and I think that nobody should be forced to keep or get rid of a baby. Hmmm how about we just go ahead and just make it a law that if you're the bilogical mother you can off your child at anytime up to the age of.... oh lets say, 16 at that point they can pretty much head out into the world and fend for themselves until the they are dependant on a care taker (generally speaking) so mommy can kill her baby and say it came from my body so I decide when it's a life. would that make you happy? that way no woman ever has to be inconvenienced by a child.

??? How can she blame them? She aborted! She should have said, "If the baby's dead, the baby's dead, but if it's breathing, rescue it!!" if this was legal, what were the doctors supposed to do? It was an abortion, meant to "exterminate" the baby (yeah, it's wrong, but it's legal and that's what the procedure is meant to do) then what were they supposed to do, try to save it's life? All parties involved should be charged. I thought that in order for an abortion to be legal, the CHILD could not be viable.... I don't think that there is ANT reason for a women to be able to get an abortion if she's that far along. I would think that many of the abortions done are done so out of financial reasons, or due to drug addiction. As long as we continue to ignore the social issues then this problem will never go away. Young people view abortion as a problem solver not realizing that they will more than likely suffer emotionally later on in life due to a rash decision made in their youth.

This also points to a much larger social issue of refusing to accept responsiblity for one's actions.

Thankful that the mother IS suing.. as a result the authorities discovered unlicensed personel at the clinic, and is holding THEM accountable to what they do to innocent children of all ages... babies and many young mothers! The legal system needs to be consistently challenged and held accountable for these actions, and the qualifications of their staff. We have to fight on all fronts to save lives of babies AND many times victimized mothers!
