Thanks! Air intake temp not outside temp. Hence the 4f difference, it's obviously warmer inside the engine bay. Where as the car s outside temp sensor is located near the front grill/bumper.
Your vehicle has an onboard computer which is sampling the O2 coming out of the exhaust and when using HHO the extra O2 causes the computer to see the engine is running to lean.
You need to alter the O2 reading by a EFII or make a cell that does away with this issue all together which is what I have done.
There is an issue if you mess with the onboard computer as the government has started to make such mods illegal. I however don't ask I just do. 30-50% savings are typical when done correctly
