"I once brought a jackass and a honeycomb into a brothel..." I don't know, it must be because of the way he says it, but I lose it every time. EVERY time.
@Questionhex I think Joffrey is more Mordred-like (at least Mordred in the film Excalibur). Robert/Robin is too much of a runt. Mordred was anything but.
@HypnoticMonk I wouldn't say retarded. Spoilt, yes. Pampered, yes. Immature, yes. Hidden from the real world, definitely. I'd say his fits are because he's epileptic.
Reading the series now. I'm on the second book. Tyrion is one of my favorite characters because he has all the best lines! Glad to see he's equally epic in the series. I will definitely be paying attention to Peter Dinklage from now on!
Why haven´t I heard of him before? He made an impression on me, ever since I saw him in the film "Elf". And became a fan of his work ever since. I hope to hear and see more of his art or acting. I´m looking forward to it ... Thanks for posting, gisaacs!!!
I've got a few favourite characters on A Song of Ice and Fire: Arya Stark, Jon Snow, Davos Seaworth and Jaime Lannister, but Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Stormborn are the best in my oppinion. I love them! This is one of the reasons I love Tyrion.
@petrolacosaurus Why would he? Like me, he was interested in finding out what happened with the honeycomb and the jackass in the brothel. No, I think it was either Lysa, Catelyn or someone from their entourage that disliked this vid.
@NoellVague He was at the inn when Tyrion was arrested by Catelyn. He thought that if he came along to help the Tullys at the Vale he would get payed nicely (which is all sellswords really want). When Tyrion demands the trial by combat, Bronn knew that the Lannisters would pay much better because they're rich as shit. Which he was right about.
@1337isdead I am pretty sure it was, I can remember smiling when I read this. Of course some of the confessions can have been changed, but this was in the book.
@rkrokberg I agree with 1337: this bit wasn't in the book, at least not in the original. Did you read it in the edition with Ned Stark on the cover? I am curious as to whether that book has a different narrative...
@martincassar It is at least in the paperback edition from 2003, though there he just begins talking about stuff like sleeping with whores and hating his family and a lot of things like that, it is kinda funnier in the tv series, but yes, it is included, though kinda different. Thereafter he says that he's confessing his sins, but that he can't confess the sin of trying to assassinate Bran Stark since he haven't done it.
@rkrokberg Aha, likewise. to be honest, when i got the book, Tyron's confession was what i was looking for right from the start! The book version is much more sober. There are also other parts that are different from the book, though I guess that, in a way, being more colourful in certain aspects is what makes the series so interesting. Needless to say, the books far outweigh the series (though HBO did one hell of a good job!)
Tyrion brought a jackass and a honeycomb to a brothel, then what? Oh man, I wish Tyrion could continue with his story, I really want to hear what he did at the brothel.
" I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew, I flogged the one-eyed snake; I skinned my sausage; I made the bald man cry" ROFLMAO he's bloody brilliant!! honestly, he should be cleared of all charges just because of those lines xD
I think he should have submitted this episode (A Golden Crown) instead of "Baelor". Dinklage is great, but I'm not sure if he'll win the Emmys with "Baelor". This Tyrion moment is wonderful.
"Which i do believe my sister ate - at least i hope she did" xD Tyrion Lannister is a hilarious character, and Peter Dinklage is a fantastic actor choice - that role is MADE for that man... He deserves an Emmy.
The long wait is over. A Dance with Dragons finally came out today, I have my fingers crossed that Tyrion doesn't get killed off. He's my absolute favorite character.
