  • Do you combine the diet with resistance and interval training? If so, then it wouldn't matter too much if you ate some sweet potatoes or quinoa. Resistance training combined with some sort of resistance training is really the secret to any meaningful weight lose program.

  • from what i see you want to lose fat, to do this follow the diet but exercise even just a little, if you can break a sweat and maintain that state you will find that your metabolism will become motivated and that you will poop more regularly.

give skipping a try if your looking for something you can do in a small space with minimal equipment. also your body will need carbs eventually just eat good carbs

and not processed sugars and you will be able to maintain. good luck and keep at it

  • its just a suggestion, if your not having regular bowel movements its a telling sign that your not active enough and your guts are not being motivated to digest. there by inhibiting your metabolism. your body only needs a little bit of energy to sustain its self if your not doing anything slightly strenuous,. it will burn calories very slowly.

  • avoiding sweet potatoes 5days/wk makes sense (starchy), but there is a sweet potato recipe in the book.

I am wondering about squash and beets. I get a lot of those in my CSA package and love them.

  • Been on it 4 days, and it's not fun diet, but I am getting more creative with the ingredients I am able to work. Stick with it. I'm looking forward to seeing your udpates.

  • I understood the diet to basically be limited to: Legumes, nonstarchy vegetables (especially leafy or cruciferous), eggs, and meat.
