Damn I miss Cape Town. Havent been there in over 10 years. Btw. Laksevåg in Bergen Norway, has the highest crimes in Norway. Norway is said to be the safest. people get kid raped mugd here... Worst thats happend 2 me was a burgle brakeing my window. I ran after him with a golf club=)

Its all about wrong place wrong time. Just more people living in cape town then small Bergen

@PeanuttNPetrify men last week Iwas for the world cup not camera the beat me up my team uniforms my cell. that was coming out of soccer city. the s.a. police I OBLIGED THEM to make a report even the knew who the guys were , and the live did nothing but ask ,harass, and ,harass ,ask for money. and the natives over it was my most annoying, trip ever always trying to scam ,outsiders begging ,begging they follow you I KNEW about 50 people like me that leave before they dated time.

i come from cape town and never expereinced violence until i moved to chicago. i was at gunoint 11am on a busy street... yeaks!

I've just been half a year to cape town. Don't worry about any danger on daytime. It's just that you should keep away from some suburb areas at night. In my half a year i have never felt any danger at all !!

I would reccomend this place to everybody, it's so beautifull and the people are really nice!!!!!!!!

so jerseyy, it's not extremely dangerous. It's actually safe and fine.

Cape Town is magnificently beautiful ............ , and yes, there is crime especially in an area called the Cape Flats, but show me a city with no crime. THAT does not exist!

I agree with you, I say this as a South African living in America. I just visited South Africa in June of this year. It was fantastic. Someone stole my video camera, I was not terribly upset because home makes one feel better just about anything.
