I played saxophone in high school band many years ago. That's also when I saw my first DCI show. It would have been about 1985. Even though I played woodwinds in school and was in the great drum corps style SMSU (now Missouri State) Marching Band, I love drum & bugle corps! I wish I could have a 'do over' and be a kid again.  I would play a brass instrument and go for drum & bugle corps! I'm so glad to be moving back to northern Illinois next spring so I can see the corps performing again.

I hope this doesn't get taken down...DCI has a bad habit of taking down pretty much anything in the 2002-2005 range...I had the opener and closer posted in two separate videos and they removed them. This is one of the greatest shows of this century easily, and my personal favorite (maybe next to Phantom 91 and 93)

I dunno why but that cymbal roll or whatever that sound effect (I use that term loosely) is at the the verry very beginning, maybe first half second of the video right before the hornline comes in with their first attack always and forever will sound like someone is saying "OOH-RAAAHHhhh" to me which makes this 10x more epic than I can stand and I'm always on the verge of seizure at that point from the epicness

I'm not all that old, but you younger Phans need to see '89, '91, and '93. There's some crazy evolution between those years and by '93, drill and movement had become comparable to today. And for your general DCI education, look up '91 Star of Indiana. That show would have won last weekend.

@brownwillow I can see where your coming from. I"m twenty five and this show was the summer rigght before my senior year. It was amazing to see this show and pathways scv. DCI has changed so much that the younger kids don"t even know how dci got here. I would say (and this is just some of my favorite shows) the younger kids show watch scv 99. cavies when they did the planets in 1995 and the once in a lifetime star 92 or 93 i believe.

@brownwillow I would put the '91 Star show up against anything now OR in the future and it wins...hands down. This comes from a lifelong Regiment Phan. There aren't too many other shows that have caught my eye that haven't been Regiment. That show was one of them though.
