I tried an Even Tide Time factor. I am useing Midi . I noticed a slight delay (latency) while switching between programed patches. This is very agrivating . So I sent the Eventide back for a refund. I need to be able to switch between patches fast. My other FX such as my Rocktron Intellifex switch between patches instantly. No latency at all.
I sure hope the Time Line can switch between patches with out any latency. That would be a deal breaker for me.
NOTE: he does the double switch presses with his hands and doesn't demonstrate the bank up/down with his foot. (he just puts his foot over it). Strymon has the best effects with the worst foot switches IMO - hitting 2 foot switches at once to bank up/down is going to suck! (this won't keep me from buying the TL however)
@cosmogang I dont plan on using the bank selects live as it does seem a little iffy... I think at this point, MIDI control is the way to go and probably the intent. I am curious myself and will find out in a few days when it arrives.
I've heard the El Cap kills the regenerations as it resets if you tap in the tempo while playing with the delay on. Does the timeline do this as well?
@Letsmakeadeal1986 My SuperDelay does that as well. I never noticed it to bother me very much before, but it would be a cool feature to have in the Timeline.
$449 for the new Timeline. Now don't all the people on EBAY buying the old Timelines for $780 feel stupid? Hope we'll be getting a Solid Metal-type so we can laugh at the dudes spending $500 for those.
@bobob13131 Nobody really bought any for $780. Someone did have a completed auction for that price but i think it was a faked auction just to drive the price up because the same guy tried to sell a second one and he didn't get any bids for anywhere near that price.
@danyeo I agree. I just sold one for $400 to a friend. They seem to move for prices between $400 and $500. The old Timeline is a thing of beauty. The new one looks fun. We'll see.
@bobob13131 Yeah. When they went out of production, I was considering buying one on the Gear Page because it sounded so good. But I decided to wait because I knew Strymon wouldn't let me down. Took patience, though.
I'm guessing they will price it at 450. But man, if they did 400 or even 425, they would steal all of Eventide's market for the TimeFactor. I'm anxious to see what the price will be.
@MegaBrebis I was wondering the same thing. If I were to guess, I'd say they probably used the same algorithm as they did in the El Cap, but it probably doesn't have all the tweaking parameters the El Cap has.
Nice. Too bad the sound was terrible and you can't understand a word he's saying.
