Raul Hilberg "Destruction of European Jews" ??? Hmmm, Revisionist Germar Rudolph wrote a book called "The Giant with Feet of Clay", in which he totally debunks the three volume work by Hilberg and shows the inherent flaws in that book. Hilberg documents the PERSECUTION of Jews, but not much evidence there for a "destruction" or extermination.

he has nothing to gain from that slip

It was a slip, an easy mistake to make in the circumstances.

Not so forgiveable is:

"he's accurate for WW1"

WW1 ended in 1918 and is irrelevant to the Holocaust.
