I think power rangers was puff n stuff mixed with voltron. But I love Voltron and most the children's programs of my youth. Thundercats, D&D are the first to come to my mind still later in the 90's was some great times for disney and marvel comics with animation and Batman TAS was some of the best in animation of all times. Stuff now lacks a lot of a soul even if its a silly cheesy soul

This "minisode" was ovbiously just a regular length episode with parts cut out to shorten it, it's especially ovbious at the end were they go from dodging attacks to suddenly defeating it.

Voltron didn't "copy" anything, the series was a combination of two different anime series in Japan origonally. The origonakls IIRC can be seen on the special DVD sets.
